Great review as always. Maybe one day we’ll also get to stay at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City 😊

They treat you so nice at these properties. I’m happy to hear you are going to start reviewing the higher end properties, why aren’t you going to give a Diamond anymore? How about 10 diamonds instead of five is it is easier to see where you stand on your reviews.

I currently have a backlog of around 60 hotels, but my last reviews focused already on the higher end properties, as those are the most interesting to the audience and most fun for me to create. In the end, there is not much use in a rating, if all hotels get a high rating. ;-)
Furthermore, value is something very personal... if I want to visit a city, I probably would rate the location of an airport hotel rather low. If I want to be at the airport the next day, the same location would be awesome. That's why I'll try to share my experience and actually you can decide for yourself, how you rate that. :-)

I am booked into this hotel in May 2023. How does it compare with Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences?

Inaugurated in 2021, the M Square is a brand-new hotel with a simpler room design compared to Al Habtoor City, which has been around for a few more years. Despite its simpler rooms, the M Square is a great new hotel, located in a quieter area, but does not serve alcohol. It offers a quicker access to old Dubai, although it may take longer to get to the Burj Khalifa. During our visit in 2021, the hotel was planning to open an executive lounge, which has since been canceled along with the executive room category. I am unsure whether the vouchers for drinks and food are still available. However, it can be more cost-effective compared to the other option.
On the other hand, the Al Habtoor is located by the Dubai Waterfall and offers opportunities for a pleasant walk by the river. Right next to it, there is a small supermarket and several restaurants if you want to eat outside the hotel.
Personally, we have only been to the M Square once since 2021 and five times at the Al Habtoor, and we will be staying at the Al Habtoor City for 10 days in June. Of course, this is just a matter of personal preference. Both hotels have their pros and cons.
      Enjoy your trip!
