She is one of the highest paid female artists ever.. She is recognized.
I'm not sure if anyone told you or some of these others, but Shania Twain was the biggest Country Popstar of the 90s and early 2000s... the only reason she slowed down her career was that she got Limes Disease and she was sick for a time. Trust me, Shania gets her recognition and she still has millions of devoted fans all around the world. She even has a new album in the works and still performs... she performed on the CMA's last year and was fantastic as always. She even had Post Malone jamming to her songs a the Grammy's in 2019. So she's far from an unrecognized artist. Those of us that have had the pleasure of watching Shania evolve into a talented and beautiful woman know that her music will still be just as great to listen to in another 50 years. She's a timeless talent.
Last night on the CMA Awards she got one all those years of that singing Angie has an unreal voice and that's gone through hardships in her life I love that woman always have

In 1996 I fell in love with this song and a man, we listened to this song on tape over and over again... We were so in love, we married, had a Son, had a home full of love. It was exactly like the song from start to finish. I WISH I COULD HAVE CHANGED THE WAY THE STORY ENDED. TRUE LOVE and a Family, 10 years of marriage and now our Son is 18 and our story ended 10 years ago. I've been BROKEN ever since.... Its amazing how people that you love for so long can turn on you and hurt you in so many ways....

Its kind of scary that the story of this song - a betrayal and heartbreaking seperation from a loved one , actuaĺly became a hard reality for shania when mutt's heart wasnt at the home he builded with shania and left her hard of stone to be a heart of crust , i am so glad that she married fred thiebaud they are such a sweet couple , its so nice to see them together , they are just adoreable .

Ditto to everything you said. She's by far my all time favorite. Saw her about 7 times but it's been since the 90's. Going see her in Vegas twice this month and her last two shows in September. She probably won't sing this but I'll think about it. What a sad song. Nobody should ever have to go through this but unfortunately it happens.

the hardest stains in my past has to be shania twain on my mom's radio while we went anywhere. As an adult now, no matter how far my road trip takes me, Shania is on full blast in the car while I sing every word of the song.

I met this beautiful, gracious woman in 1999. She is so down to earth. My family actually played Table Tennis with her , and I remember her being so casually dressed in shorts and she was bare feet.
When dinner was served , she changed into a beautiful dress and ate Dinner with me and my family !
I also remember that she partied with the whole crowd of people that were there for the New Year 2000. We all had a great time !!
