Year on the bottom will range from 2014-2017. After that it was vaulted. I’m pretty surprised they haven’t made updated new Scream Pops now that the new movie was released (with sequels to come).

I'm happy with my fake. In fact, I have 2. All of my pops are real except Ghostface as I missed it when it came out. What I don't miss is paying some crazy price for an original when the fakes ( at least my 2) are awesome. To each their own. But you'd NEVER catch me paying crazy prices for toys. Now where is the Soda Ghostface????
Yeah, I was lucky with this one and bought a bunch when they first came out lol. We definitely need a Ghostface Soda!
Great video. I got my son a real one for Christmas but was going to prank him and wrap a fake one for him but didn't want to contribute to the fake ones haha that's why I like watching these real vs fake videos.

Does the real one come with fm sticker or does it have to be indented in box like in vid?
The older version of the Pop will have the FM sticker but the newer versions will have the indented date. If you don’t see a date at all, and it has any of the other signs of a fake, then it’s likely not real. Hope that helps!

Sacnning the barcode a good way to check if it's a fake?
Unfortunately, no, because the barcode is a match. Easiest thing to spot is the Movies logo.
Ok so I came here cause I bought one on eBay for $90. And it turns out with you and someone else’s videos, mine came out to be real!! Which is insane cause ik it goes for a few hundred. The blood on the knife matches, the eyes are the same, the shoe is the same, the cap is the same everything is the same also the box is a little damaged which makes sense since it’s like 6 years old but I’m happy cause with the damage box it can still go for like $200 minimum. Fire buy I got! Thanks!!!

we have one of each, ...I purchased on on a raffle for a donation, and it was fake when we got it...already had the good one, and thought what the heck, my wife likes this one so ......

So when this originally came out , did they re-release ghostface with a brand new box ?
Yeah, at the time it wasn’t vaulted or anything so they just released an updated box. At the time people didn’t care about box version, but now it’s become more collectible to have both or have the older version.
I am currently being told that a Ghostface I'm selling is a fake. I've checked off everything you said and it seems legit. Thee guy is telling me the code sticker on the bottom is a FM16 number and they only ever officially made FM14. Have you ever heard of that?
Never heard of that. If the box checks out and the figure checks out, then it’s real. Only thing that could have happened that might make it questionable is if someone did a sticker swap with the FM sticker. The 2017 versions are imprinted. The 2014 is an actual sticker. Send me some pics on IG and I’ll take a look.
@@TheFunko411 nah it looks original. Guy is just swearing up and down funko told him that anything other than the FM14 ones are fakes and that they released the one and 2 word versions all in 2014. Been a weird day. Dude had a whole day-long argument to be wrong

Honestly I just look up this video mainly because I just got into pop collecting and just like you, I’m only collecting horror characters and I found a
Ghostface pop in the wild at my local flea market and one of my friends that is hardcore pop collector told me that it would be fake since ghostface is one of the rarer pops and after this video I have to say mine it’s real lol the knife had the same level of detail and the box is the same which I’m surprised since I got the pop for like $40 lol

Hi! That sounds like a legitimate figure, but just to be certain I would still check the figure itself for the blood on the knife and the glossy parts and I would check the box for the Movies logo. Thanks for watching!
