Had the pleasure of meeting ol Cole before a little listening room show with Nicholas Jamerson - it was probably 9pm and he ordered him a black coffee at the bar. He was a kind and warm guy. He played about 3 songs and an obnoxiously drunk lady yelled out “PLAY A HAPPY SONG!” Cole’s reply was quick and perfect.. “wrong set, lady.” Hope he gets big time recognition for his voice and songwriting but for the sake of his heart, I hope the fame doesn’t change him a bit.
Cole is my cousin on my dads side of the family. I can attest that he’s the same little guy who always was quiet (yup you read right) but not afraid to be running around and singing. I watched him grow and get to where he is now. Cole is humble and will stay humble bc that’s just how we are as a family.

I know it's not what this song is about, but as someone that's really been struggling for the past few years with depression and immense self-esteem issues following an emotionally abusive marriage and divorce, the lyric "seems soon as I get a foothold, I tumble back down the hill" really resonates with me

I have that same guitar… There is nothing like a Martin HD 28 brother! It is absolutely perfect for country music and bluegrass music, also the vibrato in your voice is ICONIC
I started out really impressed with these musicians. Oliver Anthony led me here, but he has a distinctive sound of his own. Now it seems the last 6 or 7 are almost indistinguishable. They all have the same guitar style and the vocals are near identical to one another. It seems they all follow the stylings of Tyler Childers.
