    Awww I love seeing dogs play. My dog loves the natural chewies.

      Yes me too! I use freeze dried salmon treats sometimes but I am not sure what you mean by the "natural chewies"? Thank you for watching!

      @@svccschnauzers lol I didnt know the correct vocabulary-sorry. She has a sensitive stomach so I look for things that are easy to digest. The Kong balls worked well too so she wouldn't over eat.

      @@jjthek Thank you for watching my videos!! I appreciate your comments. I don't let my dogs eat the digest-able chew toys - there are several brands of these and I think they are not good for doggies internal systems. I work so hard to help my dogs build a strong gut and immune system that I don't want to undo it with the chew bones / toys are say they are able to be digested. THANK YOU!

    I got my female MS’s brother when he was about 6months old. He was totally neglected by his first two owners. Fast forward to now, he’s completely turned into my shadow. Which that part I don’t mind. I’ve done some training to build his confidence and now, I kinda regret it. He never used to bark, at all, with his previous 2 owners, maybe he KNEW it wouldn’t matter WHAT he did to get their attention but he wouldn’t even bark if he saw an animal outside (probably because he constantly kept in crates and couldn’t even SEE outside). But now, when he knows I’m getting ready to leave, he will jump and nip at my butt. I have just completely been ignoring it, I figured if this is for attention, whether positive or negative, I’m not giving it to him. Do you have any suggestions? I did want to add, he has been neutered. Oh and his sister does not behave in this way. I’ve had her since she was 8 weeks. Sometimes he bullies her too, but in typical MS fashion, she handles it but I still don’t want her to HAVE to.

      Have you seen my videos on teaching your dog to be quiet? The technique I use for teaching quiet will also work for the other things you mentioned such as your dog jumping up to nip at you. You will need a spray water bottle. You will find the one I use here www.svcctoys.com/schnauzer-favorite-products. By watching the videos on my channel about teaching your dog quiet you will see several different tips that will help you with a variety of ways your puppy needs to learn boundaries and appropriate behavior. Thank you for enjoying my videos.

    What is the name of the tan baby in the beginning of the video, sitting on "places" in the regular schnauzer cut. That is one of my favorite's color wise.

    • @svccschnauzers
      @svccschnauzers  Před 6 měsíci +1

      That is Honey Bee - she is regularly in my videos and I have her groomed in a Teddy Bear style now! This color can be referred to in many ways: Recessive Red is the genetic term, but you will hear people say beige, wheaten, and tan. Her AKC registration color is wheaten. Thank you for enjoying my videos and being on the journey with me.

    Do all male dogs lift their leg? Can they be trained to squat?

    • @svccschnauzers
      @svccschnauzers  Před rokem +3

      Most male dogs will lift their leg - you can give them a place that is their's - a fire hydrant or pole that you want to be their primary place. I have a video where I show the fire hydrant potty pads I use with male dogs when traveling and they are on my website favorite products page too! I have never trained a male dog to squat but I have trained many male dogs to pee where I point and say "go potty" - that is easy to train if you are very consistent when they are puppies! Say "go potty" every time you see your dog doing so and in a few months they will do it on cue.

    Do you recommend taking your dog out every 2 hrs for potty training? I have a 17 week old female.

    • @svccschnauzers
      @svccschnauzers  Před rokem

      Hello Hedda, I recommend you take your puppy out immediately after waking up, 10 - 20 mins after eating, and anytime you see your puppy moving in a circle like she is getting ready to go. Is your puppy large enough to walk herself outside? If so teach her to signal you at the door by siting in front of it when she needs to go out. You can practice this by having her sit at the door each time you take her out just before letting her outside. She will learn to cue you by sitting in front of the door when she needs to go out. Thank you for watching my videos and please join along with the Setting Your Puppy Up for Success Playlist!

    If you need more questions, im happy to keep them coming lol Ill look around since you may al;ready have a video on this but I've heard that this breed is known for having a bit of a sensitive stomach... Is it bad to feed them a vrity of wet food from different brands? although I'm trying to get her to eat the kibble for morning and lunch meals, she has been a bit reluctant to eat enough if its just kibble , and so I have been experimenting with different brands of wet food and doing a mix sometimes of wet and dry because she seems to occasionally get a bit of a tummy ache or indegestion which i have found is relieved by kinda putting her onto my shoulder like a baby and gently patting her stomach a little bit till she can go number 2 .so maybe you can talk about that and then my last question is concerning her always wanting to eat random little things , as of shes a little vacuum cleaner walcing around (lol) specifically problematic have been little rocks ... we have a small sized gravel on our patio and other will be little pieces of gravel here and there and she always wants to chew on them making this frightening sound like shes gonna break her teeth (i guess it feels good to her when teething) until i can get her to spit it out asap and hopefully not swallow it but she has been continuing to do this now for like 3 weeks nomatter how many time i sayno and get it out of her mouth.

    How can I teach my male to go potty on cue?

    • @svccschnauzers
      @svccschnauzers  Před 8 měsíci +3

      I have several videos that teach this! The key is to repeat the cue such as "Yes! Potty" every time you see your dog going potty. Eventually after many many times of hearing this phrase, your dog will begin to go when he hears you says it. Build up to this - 100 times saying "go potty" WHILE he is doing it.
