From what I gather, DK’s route is about his progression from “training” with Diddy in the jungle and advancing until he reaches the city to challenge Mario. He leaves the jungle, hops on a plane, travels through a small town and then a small city before he reaches his final destination, New Donk City. Inklings and Ness/Lucas are fought just because their stages are used to show DK traveling
@@chrisl7414 I fully agree. DK has to kick Diddy's butt into joining him on the trip, then he fights K Rool to get off the island. The biplane stage is his traveling to the mainland, and then he goes through Onett and Moray Towers to get to New Donk City, fighting whomever happens to be there along the way. He conquers New Donk first through the Mario Bros. then through the Hands.
when it comes to final bosses, i think its a little unfair toon link gets 2 allies that help him fight ganon, while anyone who gets only one ally have to try to finish the boss battle if the ally gets KOed off the stage, and then there are the characters that don't get allies whatsoever
Let me state it like this: Donkey Kong's route is all about travelling to New Donk City. He starts off with teaming up with Diddy but then he's blocked by King K. Rool. As he defeats him, DK jumps aboard a plane and fights the two pilots (Wario and Captain Falcon respectively), when they are defeated DK flies to a small town (in this case Onett) guarded by Ness and Lucas. when both of them are defeated, DK goes through Onett's tunnel, ends up in a city, climbs a building (Moray Towers) and fights the Inklings. The odyssey happens to fly by and DK grabs it's ledge. As they arrive at New Donk City, Mario and Luigi notice them and proceed to fight them. After DK beats them, Master Hand and Crazy Hand fly by to say hello and trying to kick DK's behind. But like always, they fail and DK finishes his classic mode.

So far I was able to do 9.9 with no continues using King K. Rool, I feel quite accomplished lol
I should try intensity 9.9 on dk but I know I'm gonna fuck up
