    Good morning thanks for the video is it possible to have the parameters for Commarker B4 ?

    Excellent content, thank you sir! It was clear, concise, well written and very well presented - I just subscribed to your channel.
    In terms of future videos, can you please consider doing a series on getting newbies up to speed on 3D manufacturing with Laser engravers and cutters and/or CNC Routers (if you have any)? Hardware capable of 3D work is everywhere now, but the both manufacturing process and software is often impenetrable -- especially if you are new to home-based CNC / Laser-based manufacturing.
    Thank you for posting this video, and please keep the great content coming.

      Thank you for the comment. Glad you liked the video... 😊
      Will try to explore 3D engravings in future videos.

    I know you mentioned tumblers, but you showed a stainless one. How about powder coated? How about slate?

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes, you can engrave powder coated tumblers and slate with a fiber laser.

    Hi, great video thank you. I need to engrave fingerprint detail into flat sterling silver pendants. I'd like the engraving to be about .05mm to 1mm deep. Is this possible with this machine? Thank you.

    Great video. You want to increase the laser community and get attention? Show us how we can turn something like this into a hand held laser cleaner and not spend 10k. Even if it's only for nooks and crannys, weld prep, degreasing or small parts like carbys. There's a massive market of hobbiests that would want this and they probably wouldn't mind doing a bit of engraving as a side benefit.

    Thanks for the clear information. Can you tell me if this machine in particular can do more relief type engraving. Not necessarily "coins" but I would like to create some pendants that have some differing heights

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  Před 2 měsíci

      When it comes to relief carving with a laser it depends on how you process your design. The depth is controlled by laser power and you need to come up with a way to tell the laser what power to use for different regions in your design. Typically this is done by creating your design in such a way that areas with more depth appear darker and there is a gradient from dark to light for curves and then use the grayscale mode for engraving. If you get the design right almost all lasers can do it. If you want to do it on metal its best to use a powerful one, the one shown in this video is the 20W variant but this is also available in powers upto a 100W

    i’ve been considering a fiber laser, and this video was very helpful. Could a fiber laser engrave a colored ceramic tile?

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes, fiber lasers can engrave ceramics, and since they are not limited by color of the material, they should be able to engrave on colored ceramic tiles as well. 🙂

      Hi, The B4 uses a USB cable included in the kit to connect with the PC

      I was afraid of that my lasers are 25 feet from my computer USB cables don’t work so well on that distance using a CAT5 cable now for my P2 Wi-Fi for my F1

    I am looking for small laser engravings on leather ( in batches) , would this be a good choice ?

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Yes, ComMarker B4 would be a good choice for batch projects on leather.
      But if you are looking for a diode laser that can engrave on leather and other organic materials like wood, etc., then the xTool F1 would be a good choice.
      But remember, a Fiber laser will produce faster engravings on leather than a diode laser.

      Which one should i buy commaker b4 or xtoolf1?

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  Před 2 měsíci

      @musaeser161 the choice of laser depends on the type of material you plan to work on. ComMatker B4 is a Fiber laser, ideal for metal engravings, while the xTool F1 is primarily a diode laser, suitable for engraving wood, acrylic, leather, etc. It has a 2W IR module that can etch metals, but cannot make deep engravings on metal.

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  Před 3 měsíci

      You can use either a diode laser or a CO2 laser for engraving denim. You can even engrave denim using a 10W diode laser, but a CO2 laser is a better option for large-scale production as it provides better results with faster engraving speeds.
