I own a few 700S Korgs and they are so underrated... Korg knows how great they are, did the reissue that no one is buying. Such a sleeper. I did sell one last month, it only needs to be played to win buyers, i think.
I know, it didn't take off but a great sounding synthesizer. You never know, maybe over the years it will comeback with a high price tag.
It just doesn't have enough features for the price tag.. 😪.. I would buy 1 for 5-700 range but once you go over 1,000 you need to bring alittle more to the plate for the price these are going for you could get a rev2 used or even another modern korg
Probably that was the problem with that one in particular. The price was too high.
Hi. The original 700 did not have ring modulators. That was introduced on the 700S the following year along with a second oscillator.

Great sounding synth! The normal format for this type of video would end with using the synth in a jam or a track, and I was a little disappointed that you didn't follow that tradition. The king of that format is of course Alex Ball, who sets a very high bar, but when anyone watches one of your videos, that's what they will compare it to. But keep at it, more lovely vintage synths please!
Hey thanks for watchhing and oh yes, Alex Ball is the king of that and kudos to him. You can hear its capabilities in the background track a the beginning of the video. It is a different approach but you can hear the synth a track. All of the videos except the Linn LM-1 video have an original track using the synth mentioned in it. I will upload the songs separately so you can hear them without the voice over.

Thank you for making this video. You gave me a taste of what to expect from this instrument. My local Kord dealer doesn't have Mini Korg on the show room floor, so thank you for helping me know a little more of what the features of this synthesizer are--very crisp and defined sounds.

Such a powerful sound, you can still find some of them at a decent price, it is just a matter of patience.
The bass sound for Human League's "Being Boiled" was made on this. Really deep and fat.
That bass is huge!! It is basically what made the song amazing. I can hear it in my head.

Not all the synths today are bad, but definitely the 70s and 80s were a great era for synth technology.
