Whats the deal with 2012 Mastercrafts touchschreen why everyone says never buy that Year?

I think because that model screen was made by Medallion and the following production year they moved over to Murphy systems. Not knowing the exact in and outs of MasterCrafts, I will take an educated guess that 10 years out the support for that hardware is going to be limited. Screen progression has made huge strides and now more units are able to be upgraded with software. The early stuff not as much.
Did that make sense or that just seem like a bunch of malarkey ?

@@n3boatworks Medallion is a pain in the ass company to deal with. It took over 8 calls and 10 emails and 3 months to get some new analog guages from them so i could imagine that is why mastercraft jumped ship to another company for electronics. I have never heard of Murphy before. will check them out. Your videos are top notch too man. Always enjoy watching them.

Not sure because it was 3 years ago. I would assume it would sell for the same if not more today.
