  • Iceland has a lot of water. The crazy amount of rain and snow, combined with our glaciers gives us more water than we need, and it is a privilege.
Not only do we have endless source of clean drinking water, we also have hundreds of beautiful waterfalls which people fly in, from all around the world, to see. All this water finds its way to the ocean in the end, it runs across the island in beautiful rivers towards the sea.
All of the rivers are very magical, as well as their surroundings. But seeing them from the air you realize how magnificent this system of rivers really is. Depending the source of water the rivers have different colors. You can have clean spring water, glacial water and a mix of both. And then the ground it runs over has an influence on the outcome. When the river reaches a sandy area it spreads out and in aerial view looks like veins of life as it finds it way to the ocean.
In some areas the rivers spread out wide and cover a lot of area, while in other places they appear thin, narrow or small. The area I’m visiting in this video is exactly that, I flew my drone low and it allows me to create intimate photos of some of the coolest details of Iceland.
