- Ok, so what is it really like being an interior design student? what do we do? I wanted to be a little bit more personal with you all and show you into a day in my life. I'm usually very busy, so I'm glad as was able to grab the time and show you a snippet into the life of interior design student. Of course things are much different with things being online, nonetheless I love what I do and I'm happy to share it with you all :) feel free to ask me any questions!

Hello, I’m starting my fist year of interior design soon and I was wondering which would be more convenient: an iPad Pro or a MacBook?
If you want to stick to apple I would definitely suggest a MacBook. We run a lot of programs so your laptop has to be able to handle it!

I have a surface book and I love it! Works perfect for all programs I need.
Do you need art or be good at art to be an interior designer
No I don’t think you need to be good at art. It is a creative program so that sense of creativity should be there, but if you’re asking if you need to be a good drawer or sketcher, No I don’t think so. It’s very useful if you are but it is something you get better at throughout the program.

What type of laptop should I buy as an upcoming student?
Most design programs recommend pc. As long as your laptop has enough space and can run the main programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, sketchup, it really is up to you. I have a surface book and I love it and haven’t had any problems. Tbh I have not used the touchscreen as much for drawing/drafting and that’s personal preference. Some students I know love the touchscreen and use theirs a lot.
