are you sure he's not smurfing? it costs only 100 gold (for quelling blade) and few brain cells to make this strategy useless
i saw lesh like that once. i cut off few trees - he rotated to other lane. i told my teammates to cut trees as well and done - defeated lesh goes back to play normal (with lowest level in the game, because he lost so much xp while roaming forest and swaping lanes)

I remember playing lone druid and buying aghs to rat enemy, farming jungle whole game. And watching jungle guides for different heroes, trying them out.
Or trying to buy a better hook that caches enemies better haha.
Dota is fun when you are learning the game.
