As much as I loved Gravity and thought Venom was great too, this blows them both out of the water and it's easily their best album at least since Fever with songs like this. Every song on the album is amazing and they showed that they can still be heavy as fuck when they want to be.
Some of the songs are too aggressive for me still, but they are definitely heading back in the right direction. The thing I have against BFMV now is in the venom albumn, venom actually sounds like it could have been from one of their older albums like the poison. They still have the capabilities to put the guitar up front with its unique sound, Matt's great vocals and a fantastic drummer. There are still some songs in this album, to Me, that seem like they could drop and entire guitarists and the sound of the song would probably not change much, this isn't anything about skill but the lack of emphasis.
