HRFT 2023 - Week 8: Granby Comets at I.C. Norcom Greyhounds - Eastern District Game

No. 13 Granby spoils Norcom’s homecoming: The Comets (6-2) overcame the Greyhounds 13-12 in Portsmouth, dropping Norcom to 3-5. The teams combined for more than 200 yards in penalties.
Taevon Ricks ran for a 3-yard go-ahead touchdown with 5:56 to go, putting the Comets ahead. It capped a seven-play, 39-yard drive, and Granby’s defense withstood Norcom’s final two possessions.
Granby’s Christian Post threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Eamon Cuffee in the first quarter. The point-after kick for a 7-0 lead eventually proved critical.
Frederico Staton Jr. intercepted two passes for Norcom, and Nakeem Sholtz-Jones’ 2-yard run and Matthew Outten’s 72-yard burst accounted for the Greyhounds’ TDs. but they failed to convert a two-point try both times.
