    Hi. It was very helpful.
    I am applying to this program.
    In the video, you told me that you were looking for accommodation yourself. Is the renting flat on the participants?
    Can you give more information concerning accommodation, who pays for accommodation?

    Hi Gizem,
    I really admired you. Your sharing is super inspiring. I have some burning questions which I would like to hear from your experiences: 1. I search on Fulbright's website but didn't see any open application for FLTA this year yet. I am wondering when will they open it?
    2. The 3 references which Fulbright contact with them and ask them to write or share thought about us will be after the interview or before the interview?
    3. Please share about your experiences of making CV and writing essays
    I really want to apply for FLTA. I know it will change my life forever. My family financial can't afford study abroad fee. Therefore, scholarship is the only way.
    Thank you for all of your videos. Your voice is really ear-catching.
    With gratitude,
    Your fan

      Hi! Thank you so much for your comment. It makes me so happy to know that my videos inspire and motivate people to follow their dreams!
      Yes, the program is currently closed for applications. You need to keep an eye on the website for any updates to be able to start your application the second they update the page. You can also start working on your essays while waiting, that would help you a lot. I remember that I had started working on the essays months before the applications started.
      The letters of recommendation are needed to be sent before the interview.
      Also, I briefly mentioned the essays in my first video, I hope it helps. czcams.com/video/X1xOJGTvCFQ/video.htmlsi=OHNQRkpYlgUv5SWs
      (You might also want to check the other Fulbright grant programs. The FLTA program is a non-degree seeking program. I just wanted to clarify it.) I'm so glad you find my videos helpful, stay tuned!😊

    Amazing content 🎉 I’m from Vietnam and I’ve just got an invitation to interview for the Fulbright FLTA next academic year. Could you please suggest anything I should prepare for?

    • @GizemZeybek
      @GizemZeybek  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Thank you so much!🩷, and congratulations!🎉 So, they might ask you different questions, but I can give you some examples, so you feel ready for the interview! They'll most probably ask you to introduce yourself first. The other questions might be about the experiences that have prepared you for the FLTA Program, the approaches you would use to teach specific things about your language (pronunciation, sentence structure etc.), the technique you would use to correct the errors that your students make, the way you would represent your culture in the US, types of activities you would use to do that etc. My biggest advice would be to keep smiling, be positive and answer their questions confidently. I hope you have a great interview, good luck!

    Hey, quick question, as an Indian Citizen and some experience as an English Teacher, Am I eligible to enrol in this programme ?
    Also, do they provide any pay for the whole programme on a monthly basis ?

    • @GizemZeybek
      @GizemZeybek  Před 10 měsíci

      Hi, great questions! I suggest checking the website to make sure even though it sounds like you're eligible to apply for the program(The Fulbright Scholarship Programs are very competitive, so being eligible to apply for it doesn't guarantee an acceptance, I just wanted to clarify that. It shouldn't discourage you, though!) Also, yes you receive payments during the program, I still recommend that you bring money with you to be able to cover any expenses until you receive your first stipend. If you want to travel a lot, I suggest that you bring more money because the stiped won't cover all the trips you might want to take. Good luck!

      Hello@@GizemZeybek, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you receive for your stipend? Thanks.

    How much do they pay in FLTA program?

    • @GizemZeybek
      @GizemZeybek  Před 4 měsíci +1

      The amount of the stipend changes depending on the university and the state you'll live in. For example, if you're in California, your stipend will be higher than a grantee that's in Oklahoma, because the living expenses are higher in California.

    • @GizemZeybek
      @GizemZeybek  Před 4 měsíci +1

      For instance, my monthly stipend was around $1,300.

    Hi,
    I am applying to FLta. In the essay they are asking for country related materials, supplementary material etc...i am not sure what kind of material they are asking about?

    • @GizemZeybek
      @GizemZeybek  Před rokem +1

      Hi! I don't remember where exactly it was mentioned but what that means is the teaching materials that you'll use to teach your language and share your culture. Things like shopping receipts, maps, travel brochures, magazines, traditional clothing, pictures of different areas of your country, examples of youe currency, and small and inexpensive gifts that represent your country to give to people, etc... You can use them in class, during your language table, at the events/presentations that you'll have.
      I suggest you to contact your supervisor when it's time and ask if they have any of those materials there, because packing would be difficult for you if you wanted to bring a lot with you.
      I hope everything goes well and you have a great experience!

      It was not so big. It's a small city with a population less than 100,000 with such a friendly, diverse community. However, I was able to find everything I needed! Also, it's just 45 minutes from Kansas City.
