- This little program SMBX Version 1.4.1 is actually working and you'd be surprised as of what this version has in show... well, the main problem is that this program requires several add-ons to be installed into your Windows and your local language of your PC has to be on Chinese (simplyfied) while trying to open the main exe file of SMBX v1.4.1 since apparently this program created via Visual Basic 6 was produced in a Chinese based PC. Another problem is that the physics and gameplay isn't completly the same as in SMBX 1.3.

Looks like the same SMBX 1.3.0.1, except with just a few tweaks with NPCs and a buggy screen loading. Oh and new NPCs. At least people can enjoy a new toy now :)

this leaked version was shown back in 2011 and now its officially here! and i have one idea about screen, can you please dont forget to make a aspect ratio switch settings 4:3 and/or 4:5 and 16:9? (not stretched)... what do you think? good or bad idea?

Aside from that, I'm hyped for this thing, I hope that Wohlstand can make it easy to run on European and American PCs too. (in other words: no language and region bullshit)

Depends but both of the programs are different like different physics and such.

But what if it had a good interface (= PGE interface)? *camera pans over to Wohl and Kev reverse-engineering this stuff into PGE.

yay this is finally posted. I managed to get it working. Of course you know this because of skype but yeah xD. Anyway, so this is awesome although it's still pretty buggy, but hopefully everything will be cleaned up in PGE.

Woo-hoo! Although, it looks like it's still in a bit of a beta phase, so I'll download it sometime later.
I have 1.4.2 and I love it. :) And with 1.4.2 you don't have to change the language and crap like that. I'm already thinking of making an 1.4.2 episode.
Also, it converts GIF files to PNG so old GFX work too.
guys, we found more things that you can do with npcs. here's 1 example: HORIZONTAL THWOMPS!!!!! For those of you who managed to get this to work, try the advanced feature on certain npcs and you'll be surprised what you can do.

h2643 I never got PGE to work ever on my computer, and the SMBX editor doesn't seem like the complete thing to me. Of course, that's just my opinion. I like Super Mario Maker more because it's simple. SMBX just... doesn't feel that way to me.

Rodri Tube It really isn't hard, once you learn how they work! Also Events window is imo more user-friendly in this version than it was in SMBX 1.3(.0.1).

Lamar Rhoden I don't think so, however some LunaDLL's & LunaLua's functions are present here. For example Hammer Bros can throw any NPC now!
