Ive used thw cobra coil and the terp sous vide, and to be 100% honest went right back to the torch. For the amount of dabs being done in my home, the amount of money spent on monthly butane is far less than the added electrical useage. Great idea, but to the thought of convenience, idk. Still felt like just as much of a process as torching. Just personal opinion though. Im sure tons of people are beyond happy with these types of heating devices.
@Da808Boii I didn't say I owned one. Lol I own a cobra coil, buddy has a lame ass terp sous vide. And I just can't stand it. Even just using the cobra coil on my disorderly conduction enail, racked up about 35 bucks more in one month than I spend on butane in 3 months.
I like it. I stopped using my mini nail (quartz hybrid) because it gets stuck in the joint, you have to wait 10 minutes for it to cool before you can pull it out and clean your rig.

It could just be the joint on your rig I have one and it's never gotten stuck in any of my rigs. My issue with it is I like to use 10mm and it only does 14 and 18mm.
These are great very refined. For anyone that doesn't have the funds for this thing look up Annie curling iron heater. They have two sizes the bigger one can heat up to 5 bangers/slurpers at once and heats up to 825°F. I should mention the annie needs a little work to make stand up but everything you need you already have at home. And the annie isn't refined at all.
Cant wait to get mine! I have a tsv and its been out of service twice in 1 year. This will be much more reliable and save me money on the electric bill. Also wont heat up my room after the 7 hour sesh

Its a huge fire starter. You'll get hot just sitting next to it. You have to wait 8 to 10 minutes just to heat up a banger. You can't adjust it or actually touch it while its on. I still prefer a torch or erig over this.
No radiation, it’s a resistance based type of heating. There’s an electrical current sent down the line and the controller adjusts the resistance causing more energy to build up.

Ive never understood the whole let me heat my banger for 1 min and cool for 30 seconds ive got mine to a science with each banger i use i just heat it up and somehow know how long to do it no cool down just straight in if any cooldown is needed its a couple seconds i just check with my hand under it takes practice but its a good excuse to smoke more so

I’ve used both and can officially say the TSV is far superior in actually heating up the quartz evenly and efficiently- the noise is the only drawback but it makes up for it in power and efficiency

I've never been an email fan due to the inherent threat of pets. This reduces that threat massively by making the heating element less exposed, and by being 10x heavier than an email. Plus no gross banger carbon build up over time 🔥👌

If you get a coil set up, you get exactly what you want, hit it, and turn it off when you don't use it.
