For 2024, me and my wife agreed that for gifts we are gonna give eachother will be assests. Instead of clothes or shoes..so I started off with the new year gift a 1g valcambi gold bar. Applies to my son. For every special occasion, I buy him a share of s&p500 in his tax sheltered account. (He is only 1yo). I am literally cash poor. 😂 🎉

I would like to say what is best isnt simple it is highly geographical, as taxes and which items are most liquidity varies dramatically. Usually buying local has its advantages so sovereign/ Britannia for uk and eagles/buffalo for usa . I usually stick to 1/4oz and 1oz Britannia amd full sovereign

I like the 1 gram bars as a novelty, plus they're the most liquid form of gold due to their affordability, but I do think it's better to stick to coins with gold due to the CGT benefits, especially with the changes due to come in this April. As you know I'm personally a fan of the full sovereign but with them containing 7.32grams of pure gold they're very similar coins to the 1/4oz Brits. For me it's the history of the old Sov's that tip the balance but I do intend to get a few 1/4oz Brits along the way as they're a similar price and weight coin 👍

Im a jeweler and buy a lot of my gold at 85% of spot from pawn shops. Bought a 32g 14k iced out cuban the other day for $1400. It has 4 carats of prong set diamonds and done by a quality jeweler. Basically I paid $200 for the diamonds and labor. Typically I try to pay $100-$150 per carat for diamonds under 0.3 carat.
I got another piece from the same the same shop that was 29g, 22k, asian bangle ( I think it's Thai) for $1400 as well. I made $3-400 on that deal. If you can get in with some shops and beat the premiums charged by bullion dealers you might be better off. Though that's only my opinion. Happy Stacking!
That's something I've been looking at recently as well as I've only got one quarter ounce in my "Stack " FI but you are right about the premiums we are getting ripped off by some bullion dealers who put exorbitant premiums onto their gold and silver coins and bars!

It’s a funny one for me. I started off last year saying I wouldn’t buy any 1g Bars because of premiums etc. So, mainly stacked 1oz Coins and Sovereigns etc.
However, this year I’m looking at my Stack and thinking I’d really like a handful of 1g Bars 😂
Although overall I will be sticking to the bigger stuff.

Great video. I’m novice in gold investment. Just wondering how to do you stock your gold. Do you keep them safe in bank locker?
You can keep them in a Safe or store them at Bullion Dealers which is what I do. It’s safe that way.

Here in the States the Brittanias are now quite a bit more pricey than say the Tudor Beasts. I'm glad I grabbed the Brittanias in 2021 when they were much more affordable (yes, I know spot gold is up since then). Even the Queen's Beasts cost less. Not sure what caused the price spike...
I wonder if it’s because they’re not a national coin to the US so there’s a travel fee to get it from Europe to North America? 🇺🇸

I like the bars but I hate the assays. So if I buy them I would probably pop them out haha Which I think is blasphemy around these parts. So far I have about 3oz of gold. All various coins. Brits are my general go-to but of course the 1oz I have is a buffalo. 🦬🪙
