Get Beef on supplying you apples. Golden apples would sell a lot if you can churn them out in heavy supply at a reasonable price, and the crafter can make them as you AFK at a gold farm.
Is there even a proper way to farm apples?

Just a random idea for a shop - Hermitcraft cafeteria would be cool with a buffet of different foods (veggies and meat) that you could buy like 4 stacks of whatever for a set amount of diamonds. And then you could do a separate golden carrot dessert bar that costs extra.

2:20 Bamboo planks have the same burn time as regular planks, 1.5 items. Bamboo slabs are the ones with 3/4 item burn times.

Bamboo blocks: 150% of cook time
Bamboo planks: 150% of cook time
Bamboo slabs: 75% of cook time
9 bamboo into 1 bamboo block: 225% > 150%
2 planks out of 1 bamboo block: 300% > 150%
Stopping at the planks is the point of best return. It is a two-crafter chain to construct, but the second one needs only the one slot and can be powered by the same pulse as the first without a second fill detector.

The matching is way more sensible for comparators if you use two crafters.
You can set the comparison amount by disabling crafter slots, and whenever both crafters are similarly full/disabled, the craft happens. Which also means you could put the recipe down in the comparison crafter
1:25 Since the comparator is in subtract mode (3rd torch is glowing), it actually sends out a signal thats the power of the signal of the crafter minus the power of the composter signal (in this case , its then x-8)

Bamboo slabs Cooks 0.75/item, bamboo sign cook 1/item, planks cook 1.5/item so you have options. 9 bamboo gives you a log which gives you 2 planks so i think that might be most efficient in a crafting setup?
For a furnace setup, kelp with autocrafters would be better.

you might be able to design a system where you can automatically move your villagers into a conversion chamber. I know I've seen other people do that in the past, where you press a button or flip a lever and grant a zombie access to the villager's toes or drop the villagers into a lower level via pistons onto a level with a zombie waiting to smack them, and then when they change to a zombie villager, they get brought back up. just an idea.
Maybe a good idea to bring in more diamonds might be to do some exploring and gather some Enchanted Golden Apples and sell them (if you yourself dont want them)
Another idea might be food baskets? Where you could like put random bits and bobs of food in a shulkers that constantly change over if people want to take the offer or not.
The end busting bit was hilarious. I love when you and keralis hang out. I also cant wait to see what kinda combo yall come up with for the industrial organic food shop. My brain keeps dreaming up solarpunk ideas but i have no clue how those would work in minecraft. Take care of yourself sir! Rest well and feel better soon!

The crafter's comparator (Comparator A) is in subtract mode. What this means is that, before outputing the crafter's fullness, it will subtract signals coming in from the side.
The composter's comparator (comparator B) is always outputing a signal of 8 and going into the side of comparator A.
So comparator A will take the crafter's fullness, subtract 8, and output that result.
The crafter's maximum fullness gives a signal strength of 9. Constantly subtracting 8 means it will only output 0 or 1, and it will only output 1 when the crafter is full.
Should make a factory style build for you half then beef could build a nice cottage/barn on the roof for the organic side
Bamboo planks will be the best to use as fuel since 9 bamboo is 2.25 items and that same 9 bamboo can make 4 planks which is 6 item smelts.
Mojang set bamboo block to bamboo plank as 1-to-2, not the 1-to-4 that normal logs get. So the ratio is only 2.25 to 3. Still better, but not as dramatic.

the comparator is in subract mode so that isn't how the auto crafter works. only when the redstone signal reaches 8 or higher will you get a signal from the comparator.

bamboo 4 smelts one. 4 bamboo to 2 sticks smelts one. 9 bamboo to bamboo block to 2 bamboo planks smelts 3. sticks is easier but planks are more efficient. not sure it is worth the trouble but it is 33% more fuel. switching to kelp is the real solution along with autocrafting/refueling with kelp blocks.
That was a really nice episode, the blend of working on projects and hanging out with people was really pleasant and organic-feeling. I'm excited to see where the collab with Beef goes :D

Why do people not take the chests? That always bugs me. They're just as valuable as the shulkers. Well, not as rare, sure, but still. They're needed for making shulker chests, they're always needed for storage, and why waste them? It's not like you don't have room to carry them home.
