Giraffoidea is a superfamily of selenodont even-toed hoofed mammals currently native to Africa and North America, it contains a total of ten extant species within three genera and two families, the two extant families within Giraffoidea are Antilocapridae which contains only one extant species within a single extant genus being the Pronghorn (Antilocapra americana) and Giraffidae which contains nine extant species within two genera being the Okapi (Okapia johnstoni), the Nigerian Giraffe (Giraffa peralta), the Kordofan Giraffe (Giraffa antiquorum), the Nubian Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis), the Reticulated Giraffe (Giraffa reticulata), the Masai Giraffe (Giraffa tippelskirchi), the Thornicroft's Giraffe (Giraffa thornicrofti), the Angolan Giraffe (Giraffa angolensis), and the Cape Giraffe (Giraffa capensis), while the giraffids are currently native to Africa, the antilocaprids are currently native to North America.
