Two suggestions! One, Get the XL if you're over 5 foot 7 inches. Also, get a larger Gi size than recommended. The A4 is to tight on the 2.0.
Thank you sir, that will really help me because I'm searching for a grappling dummy.
Very helpful thank you
U recofirmed me. I will order smarty today. Thanks.
Thanks for your review. I just purchased the smarty 2.0 and used your discount code!!

Great review!
Thanks a million , Marcel!
Agree with prefilled recommendation. I filled myself and have to keep modifying it.

This was helpful.
Thank you so much - this took a lot of time and thought to make
i find berimbolo so hard on the XL feels really hard to get the hips off the floor makes me wish i had the smaller one even though im 6' the xl is perfect for all leglocks because of the leg length however all fancy z locks and modified saddle moves
Yeah there's certain moves like the birim. and twister... AND Full buggy that are not optimal. This is due to how the shoulder was made. Unless they had some kind of shoulder socket, this is as good as it's gonna get. What you can do though is you can take the stuffing out of the shoulder area and in effect by losthat are not optimal. I’m 6’0", 186lbs and I felt the 2.0 was best for me. I’m more likely to train against people shorter than me and I’ve had more trouble sparring against smaller, lighter, faster opponents than I’ve had with taller opponents.
This is why I am grateful that I have two of them. I find myself switching between them all the time.
Would I be able to drill takedown entries, throws and trips with the regular 2.0 if I balance it with my arms?
You actually can drill takedowns if you get the harness. And that would mean you would have to attach it to a tree if you're gonna do it outside or see your ceiling in one of the beams.
I’m 5’7 and all of my training partners are quite taller then me. Would I benefit from the 2.0 for technique sake, or would you recommend I get the XL for the sake of being used to large opponents?
Yeah... the XL! You'll be glad you did!
@@k.padraigokane1472is this as good as the fairtex 2.0 dummy? Or is the fairtex better?
I'm 5'8. 156lbs. Should I go wit the 2.0 or the XL? And I only just started BJJ a month ago.
I'd say just go for the XL! Sorry for the slow response!
I'm trying to decide between 2.0 or thr XL I'm 6ft and weight 170 pounds. Which one would you recommend. Thanks
Heyyyy Scott. Sorry for the long delay in responding…The manufacturer recommends the larger one. With the larger one, you get the longer legs and longer arms… Although you don't need arms longer than the 2.0. Focusing on legwork is really your primary thing then definitely the XL. I still find myself using the 2.0 probably a little bit more than the XL because it's just easier to move around especially if I'm having to get into a position, mess up, try it again, etc. it just makes all of that rigmarole quicker. Conversely, when I want feel a bigger person, the XL is that bill. So if you can tell me exactly how you train and what you want to focus on maybe I can help you a little bit more.
Thanks for getting back to me I do alot of leg locks but I do like using the truck position alot. Thanks again
@@scottlindo8471 if that's the case then I would say the 2.0.
I saw your previous review for the 1.0 version is there a big difference between those two I’m 170 pound and my height is around 173cm
Even though you're fairly short, I think you'd like the XL for your size!
@@k.padraigokane1472 ok thank you for the info
I am height 5,5 and weight 137 so the 2.0 would work for me right? Thanks
Yes, absolutely. For the very long response time! If you do decide to go to make sure that you use the discount code
Im 5 foot 8 but still growing which ond should i get?
Sorry for the slow response but the XL is definitely the way to go
I’m 5ft 7in 210, Which should I get.
The manufacturer recommends that you get the larger one when you are about 200+, even at your height. The big one has long limbs and you may really enjoy that. The smaller one is simply easier to move around and there are certain things that I can do with it that I cannot do with the XL. I know probably what I'm saying is confusing you even more, but if you can tell me maybe what you like to train/Work on… I can maybe make a better suggestion… That is, unless you want to go with the manufacturers recommendation
What do you think about the rollbot?
Great if yer a feckin MILLIONAIRE! + I think it could be TOO light!
I’m 6’4” and 300 pounds, does the size really matter on the dummy? I grapple with smaller people than me anyways…..
Good question - it does matter and you simply need the XL. You're a monster anyhow, but anything less than the XL is going to be a PITA and nearly useless.
@@k.padraigokane1472 can you tell me a link to find it? And a possible discount?
@@k.padraigokane1472 do you have an Instagram I can chat with you on?
I bought the maddox 2 and the legs are stiff. Even the body doesn't bend toward you. I feel as if I wasted my money. The smarty 2.0 looks flexible in this video@@k.padraigokane1472
