What saddens me the most is that itachi was a kid that was solving adults problems. Kids always suffer because of adults actions. He was just 21 when he died and he had to go through so much in his short life. He is a truly tragic character.
It also sheds more light on why Itachi didn't kill Kakashi and why he ran from the fight with Jiraiya. It's not that he couldn't have won those encounters, he simply didn't want to kill any Hidden Leaf Shinobi if he could help it.

The amaterasu that Sasuke used against madara was just a one time use, hence you can even see that upon activation, that it shows Itachi's mangekyou pattern on his eye. Sasuke awakened his Mangekyou naturally as you saw there in the end. It just so happens that his left eye has the amaterasu ability on the next episode that you watched.

Story of Naruto is really good, there are easy to understand things/ u can predict most of stuff so even normal people understand most of it, but there are some good plot twist moments which can really suprise you but in the end everything have sence and backstory /explanation
btw he didn't just stop the war between the leaf and Uchiha, he completely stopped a world war because other nations would have taken advantage of this and jump the leaf, then allies of the leaf ould jump in and before you know it everywhere there would be blood.

I just want to clarify some things: • The Senju clan did found the Leaf Village with the Uchiha Clan, however many other clans joined the leaf village including the Sarutobi, Nara, Akimichi, Shimura, Yamanaka etc. But the impact the Senju clan had was far reaching and long lasting, and the policies they made that ostracized the Uchiha continued on and became normalized within the village. • Danzo is from the Shimura clan, and Hiruzen (The Third Hokage) is of the Sarutobi clan. • The Fourth Hokage was a Namikaze. • Tsunade, the granddaughter of the first Hokage and the niece of the Second Hokage is a Senju however. • What am I forgetting? Damn, this revelation broke me even that I kinda spoiled myself before it I was like before Jiraya death and then I read somewhere that Itachi died so i was like WTF? no! so I searched it and first picture I found was manga pannel where Itachi is forehead flicking Sasuke and saying This is the last time. I just cried like little baby because even tho I didn't know the context of that I knew that Itachi was actually good caring brother and he must have been through hell Itachi was always my favourite character but after this reveal he skyrocketed to number 2 (Orochimaru is number 1).
I can relate too, Jiraiya's death was spoiled for me as well as Itachi's, but although I knew Itachi was going to die when they revealed the truth about Itachi I cried my heart out :(

i wasnt just the senju... the village was composed of way more clans and senjo didnt remain in power like that, 3rd hokague was from another clan sarotobi and the 4th was from the namikaze clan, however tsunade is senjo, but they kinda did it democratically since all the other clans agreed to it and with kind of a reason since madara was superstrong and a big threat to the village even tho he was by himself...

But in terms of the Mangekyo's ability to break Tsukuyomi, as the one being hit with the illusion is inside of it they are capable of reacting to it. It is impossible for outside influence to be of any assistance though.

Overall you really seem to have grasped the situation Itachi was in, heh. The only thing I could think of to add in terms of what might slipped have by during commenting is something about the war that would have happened. It would not just have been a war between the Uchiha and the village of the leaf. If you think back to the chunin exams, for example, it was mentioned how fragile the peace treaty between all of the ninja villages is and how those exams are like a miniature war and test of power. If the Uchiha had caused internal fighting in the leaf village, the other villages would have used this moment of weakness. They would have attacked; the village of the leaf and likely each other after. It would have started the next great Ninja war. Between ALL of the nations. THAT is the war Itachi chose to prevent in exchange for the lives of the entire Uchiha clan. But yeah, the writing and reveal of who Itachi really was is one of the most memorable and well executed moments in the Naruto franchise. We've seen characters before that seemed to be good who ultimately turned out to be horrible, so the audience for the most part accepted Itachi as the villian he was introduced at with *very* few exceptions of people who caught on to the fact that there must have been more to it than we were told by the few hints shown in advance. We were meant to be right there with Sasuka; hating him and not realizing te truth untill after it was too late to apologize. And, as for saying something without spoilers... Well, let's just say that Madara was wrong regarding the point in time when Itachis suffering begann.
A different translation for itachi's final words were "Forgive me Sasuke, this is the last time" I've always liked this one more as it implies this was the last time they'll get to "play" together.
That's a superior translation to "Forgive me Sasuke, but this is it" but for me at least "Forgive me Sasuke, but there won't be a next time" is the most heartbreaking.

Taka means "hawk", thus the hawk that was shown flying away. Hebi means "snake". Basically, this signifies the shedding of his (now) false goal (of killing Itachi) and taking flight to achieve his (now) true goal (of destroying the Leaf). Secondly, the Uchiha do not actually have to kill to get the Mangekyo. This is explained in further detail much, much later in the anime, but what is necessary is the emotion. Basically, if Sasuke had awakened his Sharingan before Itachi killed the clan, he would've awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan then and there even though he didn't kill anyone. Finally, the Massacre will be revisited again later in the story, both in story and in two filler arcs; one which follows Kakashi's backstory in further detail following Obito's death and the other is Itachi's backstory (I personally do not think you should watch it, since too much is changed from the novels).

Itachi didn't give Sasuke his mangekyo powers,he just implanted hi Amaterasu to go off if he saw madras eye. But Sasukes own mangekyo he got from itachis death and he won't have itachis same powers like the Tsukuyomi.

It seems to be only Obito that doesn't have this drawback, as all the other Sharingan users (pre-EMS) have at least some kind of drawback from Mangekyo techniques...so maybe he forgot? .
Itachi indeed have a girlfriend, her names was Izumi Uchiha; in Itachi’s light novel, he kills her by putting her in his Tsukuyomi, and have her live out the rest of her life with him in the tsukuyomi, and in the end she can dies happy.
Ye Sasuke doesn't get it. His brother goes trough all that to protect the village and make Sasuke a hero in the eyes of the Hiden Leaf and the dude's conclusion is that he has to destroy the Leaf Village to avenge his brother. Too much hate in that dude's heart clouds his judgement.

Overall you really seem to have grasped the situation Itachi was in, heh. The only thing I could think of to add in terms of what might slipped have by during commenting is something about the war that would have happened. It would not just have been a war between the Uchiha and the village of the leaf. If you think back to the chunin exams, for example, it was mentioned how fragile the peace treaty between all of the ninja villages is and how those exams are like a miniature war and test of power. If the Uchiha had caused internal fighting in the leaf village, the other villages would have used this moment of weakness. They would have attacked; the village of the leaf and likely each other after. It would have started the next great Ninja war. Between ALL of the nations. THAT is the war Itachi chose to prevent in exchange for the lives of the entire Uchiha clan.
But yeah, the writing and reveal of who Itachi really was is one of the most memorable and well executed moments in the Naruto franchise. We've seen characters before that seemed to be good who ultimately turned out to be horrible, so the audience for the most part accepted Itachi as the villian he was introduced at with *very* few exceptions of people who caught on to the fact that there must have been more to it than we were told by the few hints shown in advance. We were meant to be right there with Sasuka; hating him and not realizing te truth untill after it was too late to apologize.
And, as for saying something without spoilers... Well, let's just say that Madara was wrong regarding the point in time when Itachis suffering begann.

A different translation for itachi's final words were "Forgive me Sasuke, this is the last time" I've always liked this one more as it implies this was the last time they'll get to "play" together.
That's a superior translation to "Forgive me Sasuke, but this is it" but for me at least "Forgive me Sasuke, but there won't be a next time" is the most heartbreaking.

Taka means "hawk", thus the hawk that was shown flying away. Hebi means "snake". Basically, this signifies the shedding of his (now) false goal (of killing Itachi) and taking flight to achieve his (now) true goal (of destroying the Leaf).
Secondly, the Uchiha do not actually have to kill to get the Mangekyo. This is explained in further detail much, much later in the anime, but what is necessary is the emotion. Basically, if Sasuke had awakened his Sharingan before Itachi killed the clan, he would've awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan then and there even though he didn't kill anyone.
Finally, the Massacre will be revisited again later in the story, both in story and in two filler arcs; one which follows Kakashi's backstory in further detail following Obito's death and the other is Itachi's backstory (I personally do not think you should watch it, since too much is changed from the novels).

Itachi didn't give Sasuke his mangekyo powers,he just implanted hi Amaterasu to go off if he saw madras eye. But Sasukes own mangekyo he got from itachis death and he won't have itachis same powers like the Tsukuyomi.
Itachi only planted the amaterasu on Sasuke's eye in order to kill Tobi, it was for only one use. Sasuke awakened the his mangekyou because he killed someone close to him in this case his brother.

After many times watching through Naruto Shippuden...i've only just realised....did Kishimoto forget about the Mangekyo blindness? or did I miss something, because by how much Obito uses Kamui, he should have been blind a LONG time ago, possibly even before he faces minato. It seems to be only Obito that doesn't have this drawback, as all the other Sharingan users (pre-EMS) have at least some kind of drawback from Mangekyo techniques...so maybe he forgot? .
Itachi indeed have a girlfriend, her names was Izumi Uchiha; in Itachi’s light novel, he kills her by putting her in his Tsukuyomi, and have her live out the rest of her life with him in the tsukuyomi, and in the end she can dies happy.
Ye Sasuke doesn't get it. His brother goes trough all that to protect the village and make Sasuke a hero in the eyes of the Hiden Leaf and the dude's conclusion is that he has to destroy the Leaf Village to avenge his brother. Too much hate in that dude's heart clouds his judgement.
