I think she gained the weight back. I went lurking on her fb and her moms and it looks as so but she's still an amazing person who overcame great obstacles. She did so well. And her spirit shines like crazy. You can tell she's an all around good person.

Anyone going to point out that it was Tanishas mom that got her into the situation she was in? They had her on Jenny Jones admitting to over feeding her when she was 4 years old.
They're kids, The parents are responsible for ALL of them getting to the point of extreme obesity.
I was 175 pounds at 15 and now I’m 120 pounds. I was also teased about my weight in school but now people are saying “wow” and asking “ have you lost weight?” It’s an amazing feeling when losing the weight. I now have a healthy diet and exercise every day and now as a junior in high school, I’m joining their weight lifting class.
I absolutely love Tanisha, she has so much drive and determination and such a positive attitude. She is such a beautiful young lady. Congratulations Tanisha, keep up the great work

I thought the answers to the question about working out in the winter were kind of unfair. I grew up in the midwest and eventually made my way to Seattle. There's a HUGE difference between it's 10oF outside and all sidewalks are covered in layers of ice and snow and it's 35oF and a little rainy in the morning. They could have offered some tips about body weight exercises you can do at home indoors or something.

If you're fat and decided to start going to the gym and eating healthy, you're being healthy. At the same time, anyone whose inactive and eats poorly is unhealthy. Fat or not, a poor diet and lack of exercise will catch up with you. It may not necessarily be an external change (Getting chubby) but it could be an internal change like a rise in LDL levels. That means stuff like build up in your arteries and heart disease.

Homeschooling doesn't mean no friends. I was homeschooled for 4 years because I didn't like school. And when I returned to public school it took me a few months but I fit in just fine. And that is for somebody who didn't have friends but has a bunch of siblings. If somebody who stays involved in activities goes back to public school they should fit in just fine.

About %90 or so of those weight loss achievers will be unsuccessful at completing the 2nd half of the battle which is maintaining the weight they're at. Hopefully these students will be the %10 that keeps the weight off permanently.
