    They should but the marriage couple in that table with the Houeiki. They are the important people of that party. Its a wedding. And the band singer singing facing back to the couple. Wedding look ignore on that table. Wrong the arranging here.The party is for a wedding

    some of the bridal party walking in was cringe, esp when some of them are trying to act cool the end up looking stiff. Just enjoy the music instead of trying to instagram your intro

      The Brides biological father is Lord Vaea which is the Queens brother hope that answers your question.

    I’m proud of being Tongan, and with that pride comes with truth. So yeah I’m pissed off for the couple and I’m sure I speak for many that have been thinking of this also: The seating arrangements between the couple and the princess should’ve been the other way around. The couple should be seated in the middle and the princess on the side (or better yet. She can seat at a separate table down the bottom towards the front reserved for her). And to have the entrance with the princess arriving AFTER the couple?? A big no no in my books! The day was mainly and should be only for the couple! Don’t care if anyone comes at me 🤷🏽‍♀️ Hell! You have worldwide huge A listing celebrities and royalty and I’m sure they’re seated like everyone else at other birthdays and weddings. I’m disappointed with that, because with someone of regal stature and being ‘well-educated’: You’d think that at least they would have some integrity and perspective too.
    I get the whole fk’apa’apa thing and all..but surely if anyone had a brain including the princess herself as I’m sure she’s just “going along with it” and “following protocol because they told her so”…so who?! The vaihaka people? Not good enough. Honestly if I was her, I would respectfully decline and have sat somewhere else and pushed on for the couple to sit in the middle. Because it IS their day and nobody else’s!
    Culture is one thing, but common courtesy, consistency and etiquette is overruled here. Get with the times. Please!

    I know they the queen and Princess of Tonga but do they really have to sit on the main table ? I felt sorry for the bride n groom sitting on a small table is this normal in Tonga ?

    • @gurlm90
      @gurlm90 Před 4 lety +3

      Foreal..idc if they royal..the positions is awkward

    • @tonganboi_7183
      @tonganboi_7183 Před 4 lety +6

      Idk if it's normal but the Queen and Princess are of higher rank and well commoners or nobility can't sit at the same table as royalty. It's both a sign of respect and to show who is of higher rank 😔

    • @teinelalelei7733
      @teinelalelei7733 Před 4 lety +18

      It’s the level of respect that the bride and groom have for their royal party. Not about feeling sorry for “sitting on a small table”. You have to live and breathe this culture to understand that respect is EVERYTHING !!!

    • @tongatapu3385
      @tongatapu3385 Před 4 lety +4

      This is the norms in Tongan functions. Royalty are Always seperate and on a higher stage then everyone else
