I have multiple myeloma. Got it age 39 (2 weeks before my second child was born) now 44. Frankly it’s been fine. Had 8 months of chemo, was pretty stubborn, then had a stem cell treatment. Took about 18 months to get my health up to speed. I’m now fine still in remission. If you’re newly diagnosed try not to worry or make it bigger than it is (everyone loves being a victim these days), you’ll be fine.

Thank you, I hope that you are still ok and strong. I' m 70, has a stem cell transplant a year ago, now take Revlamid and am in remission 🙏 and feel very good and can get on with my life and it not interfere with my family life. I don't worry about it, the time for concern is if/when it becomes a problem again. Until then, I live like I did before I was diagnosed. All the best.

My father in law is 62 and he was just diagnosed. Doctors said he is in very advanced stages. He got really skinny and the cancer is even breakin down his bones. The dr said he wont be getting chemo only pills and injections. Does anyone know why he wont be getting chemo? Is it too late for chemo?

I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma on April 2019. It was on as very advanced stage. Had four cycle of chemotherapy which includes Revlimid. Velcade, and Dexamethasone. On September 2019, my oncologist told me that I was on fully remission. On October 2019, I had a stem cell transplant which was really successful. I am now taking Revlimid 10mg as maintenance and still on remission. Thanks to God and to all those angels that were sent by God to take care of me specifically to my wife and my oncologist Dr. Asim Aijaz.

@@everadaespinoza3531 Actually there are three stages. The beginning would be called MGUS and then the next one would be smoldering myeloma which means it would just show up in a test while the person is asymptomatic and stages 1-3 they are symptomatic
