- I'm so glad I was able to find this group a couple months back. They've become one of my favorite Japanese groups! Thank you for tuning in! I hope you like my reaction videos. This is to ATARASHII GAKKO! 新しい学校のリーダーズ 'HANAKO' Music Video Reaction
This song is a Japanese urban legend about a girl ghost name Hanako who haunts elementary school toilets.

Definitely one of my favorite Japanese groups. I didn't even know Hanako was an actual Japanese urban legend. Who knew?
We have many ancient and modern ghost stories in Japan, and it is based on a relatively recent ghost story called 'トイレの花子さん (Toire no Hanako-san, Ms. Hanako in the bathroom)', I guess. I think it is sung by Miju, who has pigtails as you pointed out and a nice soft voice. Well, the ladies are weird people, and I love them, haha. Thank you from Japan!
They are a wonderful group and very funny! They seem to have a lot of fun on stage. I'll have to look up more of those Japanese urban legends. They are so interesting!
Love these girls, they work so hard and are always entertaining to see, top notch choreography. I watched them helping another group (I forget the name) with their dance, the others were good but Atarashii Gakko was orders of magnitude better.
💯 agree! I love watching their dance practice videos. They put in a lot of effort in their work!
I like them a lot! Especially their song called freaks! And their first single release nainainai!
I'll check it out!!! 🙌🙌🙌 Thanks!
You might like my favourite band Chai? They were also part of 88rising with Atarashii Gakko . Try a song by Chai called N.E.O.
Another one to add to the list 👏👏!! So awesome! Thank you!
@@DaveReactsTV You won't be disapointed, and possibly the first person to react to them 😁
An interesting Halloween release. It's not going to be at the top of my AG play list, but one criticism you can't make of AG is being lazy. They put up a lot of content here and on social media and seem to have a hectic concert and appearance schedule. This month they'll be performing in NHK's Songs of Tokyo festival.
100% agree! They have such a good work ethic - not just on a professional level, but just posting on social media. I saw the link on their Instagram page about the NHK Songs of Tokyo Festival. Looks like their are performing 'Otona Blue' and one of my favorites 'NAINAINAI' - www.nhk.or.jp/songsoftokyo/06/ja/ag/
Caramba eu amo esse grupo. Conheci este ano, gosto muito das músicas. Hanako é que nem a loira do banheiro. Aqu no Br 🇧🇷
Desculpe se isso não traduzir corretamente. Eles são um grande grupo! Eu amo a energia deles! Vai Brasil ! Obrigado por comentar!
Nice reaction! Atarashii Gakko is certainly a fun and innovative band, and they timed this well, releasing it on Halloween!
I don't know what other Japanese bands you're familiar with, but may I recommend Scandal? They too started as a high school band, and initially dressed as students until all four members graduated. They started as punk pop/pop rock but have expanded to include many genres in their music. They have been together for 16 years and are still going strong.

Thanks for the kind comments! Yes AG has become one of my favorite Japanese bands. They are quirky and have lots of fun performing! The timing of the song release was great 👍.
Awesome recommendation as well! Ive never listened to Scandal before but I will certainly check them out!! Cheers!
Hanako is actually from a Manga. Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun
Nice! I'll have to see if I can find the books in Japan next time I go. Might be good to add to the collection 😉
No it’s from an actual Japanese urban legend 💀
