1960 में आई फिल्म काला बाजार में देवानंद के नवकेतन बैनर्स ने पहली बार गीतकार शैलेंद्र को मौका दिया था । संगीतकार सचिन देव बर्मन ने इस मशहूर गीत की धुन एक महीने पहले ही बनाकर रख ली थी लेकिन गीतकार शैलेंद्र को एक महीने से ना वक्त मिल रहा था और ना गीत के बोल उनके दिमाग में आ रहे थे। तंग आकर संगीतकार एस डी बर्मन ने अपने बेटे आर डी बर्मन को ये अल्टीमेटम दिया था कि या तो आज गीत लिखवाकर लाना या घर पर मत आना। फिर अचानक शैलेंद्र को कैसे आइडिया आया और निर्देशक विजय आनंद ने कितनी कल्पना शक्ति से ये गाना शूट किया ? देखिए।
Devanand's Navketan Banners gave an opportunity to lyricist Shailendra for the first time in the 1960 film Kala Bazaar. Composer Sachin Dev Burman had composed the tune of this famous song a month in advance, but lyricist Shailendra was neither getting time nor the lyrics of the song were coming to his mind since last one month. In Frustation composer SD Burman gave an ultimatum to his son RD Burman that either get the song written today or do not come home. Then how suddenly did Shailendra get the idea and with how much imagination did director Vijay Anand shoot this song?
