Thankyou for such an honest insight - I also previously completed last year the Foundation Digital Marketing course - and decided to do this as a follow-up! I've started the course! Finished the first course/lesson and gained 91% so far!...straight away I can se how this course gives a great insight into this 'constantly developing' area.
Also agree - (coming from an Ad Campaign & product videography experience!) that the course feels more geared towards digital marketeers though certainly wont harm those looking to solely e-commerce roles. Once again - great video.🙂👍

Thank you for your review, I’m thinking that should I take this course because I think it would be benefit for me in the future. I used to learn some principal of marketing and now I’m on the advance data analytic certificate. So I agree with you that the google’s tools and equipment is good for learning!

Thank you very much for sharing, I am studying this course, what you said is very correct, a lot of knowledge needs to be memorized, and the specific exercises taught are not such as email marketing, only how to prepare emails looks good but not taught How to set up an email sending software for emails, how to get an email address, etc... This course is a newcomer who still doesn't know how to operate it. If you enter the digital marketing industry, it is difficult to do basic operations. , It hasn’t entered some channels on CZcams to directly teach how to open a store and how to market it. It's just a certificate.

So if I want to make a pivot in my career, this certificate won’t show employers I’m capable of doing an entry level job? I know they speak about having transferable skills through the course.

I applied for financial aid for the two last courses in this specializations and I was asked to pay $4.50 before May 5th.
I thought financial aid would have been enough to ensure I finish the course without charges. Did i do something wrong and is there a way around this?

I dont know but i would think so ? Its not a guarantee for a job but it at least shows you passed the class and know what your doing
I found your videos today debating on taking the UX Design or the Digital Marketing & E- Commerce. Between the two which is your favorite?

What course did you take? UX design was my first option but I end up enrolling in digital marketing
I've done both. The marketing course is better designed on Coursera, but marketing is a glutted job market. I think they work well together, however. UI skills are always part of good marketing.

In my opinion, If you want to understand google analytics, do the Google analytics course in the Google Academy. However, there are some things in the digital marketing course that give practical activities on how to use those tools.. The choice is yours.. I am yet to do the GA4 course, but I am sure it explains everything as well..
Did u make notes along with the course ?...or the content in the course is enough in itself ?
If you just need the certificate, you don't need to do note. The quizzes or exams are simple. But if you want to learn and apply the knowledge in real life, you should note what seems to you new.
Hi, I would love to take thins course as well, because I want to change jobs. I work in healthcare now but I want to be in the marketing and e-commerce field but I wonder if I would be able to get an entry level job with this ? What do you reckon?
Just taking some courses will never be able to grant you a job/role. (Imagine, this is something that people can take and finish in a week if they commit some time and how much you could set yourself apart from others..) But, this should be used more as a means for you to further motivate yourself and apply part of this course to your real work.

It would take you 2 years. 2 hours a day it would be finished in 6 months.

There is a certificate you can print. But this is not a marketing degree

I doubt you will complete it in one month.. It's too engaging.. This course is not as basic as some people here think..

Even if you did 10 hours a day, you would still not finish in 1 month.

Try audit it and see if it works. I think 90% of the content will be fine to learn from mobile.

I'm a UX designer working in the e-commerce/ advertising industry
I'm interested, but I took the Google UX Design course and I was NOT impressed. It was too "woke" sometimes to know what was being asked or who was being discussed when every example of a person is non-binary they/them. It made answering quiz questions very difficult when I didn't know who was being talked about in the question.
But I run an eComm site and worked for an eComm company, so I should really start looking into an eComm course to brush up and upgrade my current knowledge base. THANKS AGAIN ALIENA!
