    Hi love all your videos I'm currently going through the recruitment process for Ryanair. Got a question though. Do you ever have time to see the destinations you go to? Even if it's a few hours or do you even get over night there sometimes? Also do you get a certain amount of free flights a year or discount at all

    • @TabithaLaker
      @TabithaLaker  Před 3 lety

      In general, no overnights. You return to your base every day. The only time you would ever have an overnight is if you were called to operate from another base or if you ran out of operating hours during a working day. Those occasions are very rare.

      @TabithaLaker  Před 2 lety

      Hi Zoey, I think you may need to get your documents translated. Usually you only need 2 references so I don't know why they are asking for more than that. It will start to get costly to officially translate so try to confirm that they actually need more than 2 references.

Dreadlocks are still not allowed.

    Thanks for the tips, Tabitha. I was invited to a recruitment day next week here in Valencia and the email instructions are pretty brief. They mention the CV, passport and full-length picture thing, but they don't mention how long it's going to take like they did for you and they don't specify anything about what to wear or whether there will be any kind of test, so thank you for talking about that I guess😅. By the way, what would be the clothing requirements for men? I think you only talk about female attire in the video. Also, do they pay the flight to the training course if it's not in the country where you're living right now?

    • @TabithaLaker
      @TabithaLaker  Před rokem +1

      I think the assessment day takes the whole day. Day from 10am - 4/5pm. I just checked the photos I took that day and the time shows 10am to about 4pm but the day could have started earlier and ended later.
      For men, I think a shirt, tie and smart trousers and shoes will do. Be well groomed, nice haircut, facial hair shaved or neatly styled. Short and clean fingernails, clean teeth, no smokers breath, freshly showered, with antiperspirant deoderant applied to the armpits after. Sorry I know it sounds obvious, but hygiene is quite important.
      As for test, the only test I remember is the English test. I guess if they haven't given it to you online then perhaps it will be on the day.

    today they asked a cabin crew classmate to explain a situation related to general knowledge of airplanes, mechanics and engineering she didn't understand the scenario so when she asked him to repeat he told her to try another time. It was online, she had to dress in cabin crew uniform hair and makeup...stand up for them etc. but no interview questions team building questions, or theory that is specific to cabin crew...something also about the cockpit and pilots...i don't know cuz they really caught her off guard not doing an interview as we were taught and explained and hear.
    I cant even sign up for the crewlink sight because even though i have permanent residency in Spain my passport is American ughh cant even send my cv so frustrating. The majority of companies ask for 1'65 cm and ryan air 1'67.. Im 1'66. I dont know about that them assigning you a base city in any country without u being able to choose...They are a low cost company and pay not including flying hrs the same pay the average person makes at any job in Spain.🤷‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ they sound a little picky and high maintenance for what they have to offer.

    • @TabithaLaker
      @TabithaLaker  Před 3 lety

      Wow, that's tough. They have obviously changed the requirements since my 'time' there. I do not remember answering such questions. I don't think your height will be a problem because I worked with people shorter than 167cm - unless they have become stricter on that too. I think base assignment rules have changed because of Brexit. They are quite picky, but not as picky as other airlines. It's really up to you to decide if you want to do the job or not now that you have this information. Maybe you could apply for another/international airline if not having an EU passport is hindering you.

    Hey girl so the craziest thing happened to me on my interview today and I just want to get a second opinion on this because I haven’t read or heard of a single experience similar to that.
    So it was a zoom interview that, I felt like, went very well. The interviewer and I got along, we even joked around a little bit which is why towards the end of the interview, when I asked if he has any idea when the next training course starts and he answered “tomorrow” while smiling, I geniunely thought he was joking!
    I even joked too then and was like ‘ah yeah sure let me get up and head to Frankfurt asap’ and he laughed with me but then he was like ‘oh you’re laughing but it’s true, course starts tomorrow’.
    So I was obviously gooped and asked him if there was a chance to read this somewhere and he was like nope. And I told him there’s no way I’ll make it to arrange everything and be in Frankfurt in time tomorrow, it’s extremely unrealistic. And he was like okay I’ll see with the company, what can be done, maybe you can join on the third day or something.
    And then 2hrs later I got an email thanking me for the interview and that they will contact me ‘in the upcoming days’ regarding the next steps.
    Also, in the video that they sent me to watch, the woman says ‘bases are assigned 2 weeks prior to begin of training day’ - how the hell wasn’t he able to tell me my base then, lol??
    How are they expecting for someone to make it to Frankfurt the next day when they just had the interview?? That must have been a joke or something, they also didnt give me a final decision today, so what the hell is going on 😂
