The update took my firmware to v2. 9. Dramatically improved sound quality and seemless factory integration. Faster boot speed than the Mark Levinson. The update is easy if you follow the instructions well. I didn't have a glitch.

Apple Music now supports lossless audio and can push it to CarPlay systems when connected via USB. Does your system allow lossless audio to pass when connected via USB?
We haven’t tested it but it should as you can directly connect the phone to the car’s usb for higher quality sound.

Interested in this unit but before I was not happy about 2 BT settings. Now that seems fixed. So during install you don't need to install the mic? I'll be using android auto. Also does it show asian languages? I hate the fact the Lexus doesnt support asian languages on display
We always used the factory car mix. If your phone is set to an Asian language the Asian language will show

All the kits from September of this year (2023) comes updated to this version or newer
I have a 2019 GX withOUT the factory Nav. Do I have any options to get apple carplay? Everything I see says it has to have the factory Nav.

Yes it will ship with the newest firmware. But the 2010-2013 GX model is limited to usb audio input and cannot use the Bluetooth source for audio

Unfortunate the upgrade won’t work with 2013 GX since you need to be in USB mode for the screen to switch over
