- LYING IN STATE … People from all walks of life are at Parliament Gardens in Windhoek, passing by president Hage Geingob's body as he lies in state. Several choirs are taking turns to console mourners with hymns. Geingob’s body will lie in state overnight and will be moved to Independence Stadium at 11h30 on Saturday for an official memorial service. Video: Ester Mbathera
From the people of Zambia, we wish to send our heartfelt condolences to the wonderful people of namibia on your sad loss.president geingob lived in lusaka for 12 years and was very much a citizen of our country. A humble and loving man , and a true son of the African soil ,he will be so sadly missed

The little girl crying for our President, breaks my heart as a mother. But a child's tears are pure, and the mother is giving her the gift of empathy that she will carry with her into adulthood and maybe one day she will change the world because of the sadness she felt today. It is also a memory captured on camera that she will carry with her into adulthood and can give her pride in her country and show her that we can all be united in moments like these.
