- Hiking Cocora Valley is a MUST DO! Salento and Cocora Valley are some of the most beautiful (and probably our favourite) places in Colombia. We highly recommend going to Cocora Valley and seeing the tallest palm trees in the world!
Cocora Valley is located just outside of Salento, Quindio, Colombia and is home to the tallest palm trees in the world. It's also home to some of the best coffee in Colombia because it is in the Zona Cafetera (eje cafetero). Come with us as we hike Cocora Valley and explore this beautiful part of the country!

according to tje video you guys went to Salento last December but if you ever plan to go back, go to not far away Salamina, is a coffee town too, real picturesque and up to this day not so overrun by mass tourism, won't regret.
Those baby baskets that they gave you are so darn cute! The real ones are around 50x bigger. 😂😂😂😂
@@BETOETE yeah sadly we’re already gone from the area… but we are positive we will be back so we’ll have to check that out then!
@@ceejae2349 hahaha I know right?! So cute and we barely filled them 😂
Can you tell me the name of the Airbnb you stated at in Salento? The one for $24 per night? Tried to find in your guide but it was trying to force a $29.99 pymt
I am English and my wife Colombian. We visit Armenia City every 18 months / 2 years. Love Colombia, love Salento - been there many times. Our children love Colombia too.
Amazing! We LOVE Colombia 🥰
Greetings from the Dominican Republic, I've been to Colombia twice but watching your video it's a trip down memory lane!
Oh that’s amazing! Glad you’re finding them nostalgic 😄
From the movie Encanto!! Waoooow!
Cocora Valley is absolutely GORGEOUS and the palms are so unique! Also, that coffee tour was so fun and interactive, definitely looked like a good choice! LOVE IT 💞 Safe travels today 😉
UNa pareja que disfrutó todo lo que vieron en Colombia. Así se debe viajar
So beautiful! A bucket list destination for sure
I was once young and once rode on the back bumper of a car too.
I was crazy a little crazy back then 😉
Gorgeous video!
🙂👍 Hello ERIC&SARAH, congratulations and thanks for sharing your brief visit to [part of] the second most biodiverse area in the world!
🤩🏡 LOVELY FACT | The beauty of colorful ARCHITECTURE that is enjoyed in Salento, Filandia [...]; It is of SOUTH FRENCH-NORTH IBERIAN geographic medieval influence [HONDARRIBIA, SAINT-JEAN-PIED-DE-PORT, ESPELETTE (...)] and SAILOR and PYRENEAN PEASANT Vasco-Paysan [Country] social influence, with Kimbaya [First Nations] touches.
👨🌾🏞️👩🌾 | The sonorous term PAYSAN [peɪˈzɒ̃/paísa] means PEASANT in French. Its accentuation is equally of FRENCH influence.
🌴🌴🌴 DATA PLUS | The linear "pattern" of the "PONCHOS" is of Asian influence [Tallit]; Specifically from the Jewish culture of the Middle East. The bread is called "Parva", this from the Judeo Ladina jargon.
God bless you!
(I hope they didn't fall asleep 📜 and have reached the end 😀😁🙂🔚, Bye!)
I was there a month ago. An amazing place. I recommend the La Carbonera Bike Ride. 22km mountain biking all downhill. Enjoy!
Amazing! Great recommendation. That sounds beautiful
Salento, Colombia was a beautiful video. I loved all the beautiful scenery, the grand Airbnb that you stayed in, the delicious coffee you picked; and, of course, I dug all the enticing Colombian food.
Thanks Bodvar! It was such an incredible place to explore!
This is place is pretty awesome! We truly can’t wait to visit! We love Colombia 🇨🇴
🤗 What a wonderful place and Eric, if you manage to move back there one day, maybe you can make your very own coffee plantation...red and black coffee and, the hat would fit very well ... Or, maybe you should just let Sara do the plantation.. 😄😄
Thanks very much for sharing and, keep enjoying life . 💕💓💕
HAHA might have to leave the farming to Sarah 😉
Stunning presentation folks! Shots are just insane, what a beautiful presentation!
Fantastically put together!🎥
Thank you!! Such a beautiful place to capture 😊
Omg I just discovered this channel today and Loooove your vibe! Greetings from a colombian in NYC.
Aweee 🥰🥰 We love having you here!!
So, I’ve been waiting for you to make this video. This place is definitely next in my list, plus really getting into the high country around the volcanoes. Thank you so much. I didn’t have a lot of exposure to salento either.
Salento is amazing!! You’ll absolutely love it 😄
Dadgum’it! My husband and I are planning on our eventual move to Ecuador, but you’re making Colombia look mighty good. So cool!
Haha they are both amazing countries! If you move to Ecuador, there’s no reason you can’t make trips to explore Colombia too! 😄
Your always welcome to come and visit
@@osmarjuniorcantillobarraza7607 I’ve no doubt that we eventually will. Thanks!
Great video, as usual. Seriously, you guys are so good!!!
Thanks you two! Hope you’re doing well 🥰
Just found your channel, very nice! We live in Armenia and consider Cócora Valle our back yard. Anytime you guys want to return, my wife and I would welcome you. Canada is one of our future adventures. Good luck, stay safe.
GUYSS WE NEED TO VISIT THIS PLACE! HIKES AND COFFEE, ITS OUR DREAM!! Also amazing video, such beautiful shots 👌
YOU GUYS WOULD LOVE IT!!! Just fly over and join us now 😉
Love your videos as always, especially since I've been to Salento a few years ago and loved it such as much as you do. I also really notice the change in quality in your videos lately - really really nice shots
Anyway, just in case, SALENTO is also a very popular area in Italy, in Puglia :)
Oooh good to know 😉
Hey! I loved the video, keep it up guys!!
Thanks! We appreciate that 😊
If a coconut fell from one of those Dr. Seuss trees it would go through to India😁 Their trout aren't small either. Great vid guys!
HAHA you’re probably right
This palm trees don't produce coconuts and it is the official Colombian tree.
¡Muy majestuoso!
Me encanta tu video!!! Maravilloso…. Color, alegría, naturaleza, vida!!!
Nice video, guys! Booked our trip for February 2024.
Awesome!! You’ll love it. Thanks for watching
Did you guys visit Filandia? It's a neighbouring town of Salento
We didn’t have a chance to go there but we heard it’s also beautiful!
We love your videos. We're going to Columbia for the first two weeks of March and they have been very helpful.
Colombia* and welcome
You guys are awesome! Welcome to my country.
Colombia is awesome!! 😄
In the past decades only the black coffee stayed in the country now we have both the red and black but the red ones is more expensive and people don't usually drink it the whole time.
Beautiful place and nice couple.
Hi Eric , thanks for sharing that beautiful video of Salento area , it is part of the Coffee triangle . I’m sorry they gave you the wrong info about our wonderful coffee.
1. Every coffee bean is picked ripe, red , juicy and perfect like the one you show in your right hand , then is pealed, washed ( fermented ) rinsed and put to dry under shade for few days , then it is ready to be roasted ( dark , medium, light ) .. Coffee to be export requires specific standards of quality . what you are holding in your left hand is garbage NO one can use it to make coffee.. Coffee is part of our culture so we still drinking good quality coffee every day
I will be sending you a video on Instagram
I hope you guys stopped by La Sultana Del Valle CALI ❤
We do drink pasilla from Colombia and bad coffee from Peru and Ecuador, it is how it is. If you want premium coffee, you have to pay more
Wow !!!! 😊👍
Love this video so excited to be there in few weeks 🎉 which coffee farm did you go for ?
It’s such a cool place! It was called Coffee Tour Luger… but there’s lots to pick from in the area :)
Hi Eric and Sarah. Checking out all your Colombia videos because we will be there in April. Going to a lot of spots you two visited. I did have a question about drones. Seems like yougot some droning donw while there. What are your suggestions, impressions and tips for using a drone. How was it in a place like Comuna 13 or busier areas in the cities?
Eric and berry picking 😂😂
Lol yeah what do you do? Just not my thing I guess
What camera do you guys use?
We use a Canon m50 for vlogging and Canon R6 for broll footage :)
@@EricandSarah thank you 😊
Seriously?
The trees are cool but the rest? Coffee in Quindio is horribly astringent, the natural beauty is just the same as in thousands of places in Colombia, especially in the Coffee Axis.
I havevbern to Salento 3 or 4 times and it is pretty boring, a true tourist trap.
That’s too bad you feel that way. We loved Salento and would return in a heartbeat!
@@EricandSarah Maybe I have lived in Colombia long enough to not feel overwhelmed at the ordinary, call limeaid lemonade, not understand trucha and patacones sre everywhere, and ordinary, etc. Or maybe I just don't like videos with no real value that seem to be made only for reproduction time.
Gracias.
@@michaelc2644Did you always crave so much attention? I heard your parents had to stuff peanut butter in your pockets as a child so the family dog would never leave your side, is that true? Asking for a friend…
@@Outdoorpro72 very mature of you.
Los felicito y gracias por venir a mi tierra
