Thank you so much for the ripping/sewing wefts for the hairline ! I have a 100cm wig to both curl and style in pigtails, and I was getting scared et the idea of hot gluing like in Alyson's tutorial, because I always get messy with hot glue!
This was so helpful!! I'm not cosplaying Miku, but I'm putting timeskip Hilda Fire Emblem together and she's got twintails on the back of her head and this was the exact kind of tutorial I was looking for!

just finished my miku wig, where I brought two long straight wigs. tied the first into twintails and sewed the wefts off the OTHER wig onto the twintailed one. now I kinda wish I did this just because of the sheer amount of time it takes.....
But yours is functional soooo worth it ?

To anybody wondering why the cosplayers buy their Wigs like that is because number one it’s easier and secondly it’s extremely hard to put a wig in actual pigtails without having Wefts showing so if cosplayers try to put the wig up in ponytails you’re clearly have wefts shown so the reason why they would buy a short wig with attached ponytails
I'm going to cry you did an amazing job on the Hatsune Miku wig
You could also buy a full lace human hair wig in 613. In either a long length like 28, 30 or 40 inches. Dye it the iconic miku color. Full lace wigs allow you to secure down the wig and put up the wig in pigtails or ponytails and it looks much more realistic. It’s much easier but also much more expensive. Haha

I tried doing the pigtail method instead of the clips and god the pigtails looked so thin, if I put in more wefts then the part where you put a hair tie would look wrong and the bangs were thin too cuz of the base wig. The clips just look better and are easier to handle honestly, especially with brushing cuz you can just take em off. But that’s from my experience 😂

Bruh I cosplayed a character where they have twintails and got the clip on wig type because I felt if I put twintail in normal wig, it’ll keep weighing down and get loose and also the wig tracks would show
I also couldn’t figure out how to cut the hairs in the back and it just ended up looking awkward in the back imo lol
These tutorials seem like too much work but I gotta learn and also it’ll look way better
Also because I need thinner twintails and I didn’t know how to do smaller thin twintails with clip ons,,

Miku has too many hairstyles so that easiest and you can always take out the clip and make it into a ponytail or a side ponytail ect. And you can always replace the ponytail with curly ponytail or a bun so it's like a multiple Miku wigs and accessories to make her .

Well when you start your transformation into Hatsune Miku, you transform yourself into God. So there is no need to fear God
