Bravi a tutti, splendid. You say this was "supposed" to be the first telecast live" -- that seems to indicate something unplanned happened. Because the Giulietta act is incomplete, though I've found an upload that seems to have the complete audio, though no flying gondolas, and only a fragment of the epilogue.

Indeed the performance was complete....but for some reason the video I 've got is incomplete. The telecast was canceled since as you may appreciate the lighting is very poor. It took the Met few more to solve the technical problems and launch the Live from the MET series in 1977 with La Boheme featuring Pavarotti and Scotto. I remember that when the performance was being telecast there was an announcement stating that lighting was modified.

@@Alexgent07 Ah! Very good to learn more. It took some time for tv producers and stage producers to coordinate their efforts such that the lighting would suit the house and television transmission. I remain mystified as to why the lighting was such a stumbling block for so long, but, technical difficulties will be the bane of humanity, regardless. Paz.

The same 1973 Glyndebourne recording of Le nozze di Figaro went well. 🤔
