Honestly they should do a spin off show or movie where all the original characters are all together and have their own kids and just show us how their life is in the future because I really miss the old cast this is heartbreaking I stopped watching the next step after season 3 I couldn't put myself through all this in season 4 and 5 💔💔💔

Tho i enjoyed the bangers and mash up episodes of season 4, but that was the only reason i watched season 4.. just the london episodes with eldon, thalia, james and west!
I know this is 3 years from the posting of your comment, but I'll just say this anyway. It felt like the right time for the characters to move on, having won the highest achievement in competitive dancing. It was later shown that if some of the characters retained their main character statuses, they could have been ruined. Case in point, look at what happened to Riley in Season 4 after she became studio head. She drifted so far away from her character in the first 3 seasons, and she just was a completely different person at the end of the season. I know Michelle also had a drastic change, but hers made sense because she was an alternate in the previous seasons and she wanted to be back on top. But Riley should never have been made studio head, since A) according to the show's timeline she is 16-17 years old at the beginning of Season 4, making Kate's actions illegal as Riley is a minor and B) Riley has never been dance captain nor does she have any management qualifications.
@@bevanborges4047 they won everything sure but look at sweden. kyle specifically he is after season 3 4 time internarional soloist so whys he not moving on but everyone else is. i understand keeping their story in tact for more than those seasons would be hard but i think at least a few more should've stayed. or hunter comes back. they shouldn't have just left and barely ever come back
@@thecrow18 I understand that but then there are those characters coming back far too much and the show becoming overly reliant on them to keep it going despite introducing 7 new characters and making 2 already established characters part of the regular cast. This is what happened in Season 4, and I am glad it never happened again. Majority of the new cast in that season were underused, with the exception of Giuseppe Bausilio (Alfie).
@@bevanborges4047 i think they relied on alfie to much. they needed him to keep the story going for long enough. also i think the hip hop comp was good to show what they did after a troupe so i dont think they overused them.

This is especially since Sloane and Cassie left and then so did LaTroy, and all they had was this cliched love triangle storyline as did Alfie, James and Riley. The one with Alfie, James and Riley was even more unnecessary since it was done with Beth, James and Riley and there was hardly any storylines for the other characters. I agree Hunter could've returned, especially since Cassie had no major storyline at all during Season 4 and then left.
The next step season 3 cast who went to internationals was the best ever. I wish they could have stayed instead of changing the story line all the time!

I think since season 4 I just stopped enjoying The Next Step as much as I used to. I get that they can't stay forever and all but it just changed since then. The intros, the talking heads and the drama / reality feel to it.
Luke Hinds yes it is, season 4 will be a new start, do you really want the same over and over, also season 5 will bring back many familiar faces. Only an amateur fan would quit.
