We do need to prepare though. Look what they are doing to farmers in Europe. German farmers are on a week long protest from 8th to 11th. But mainstream won't cover anything. They have descended on Berlin in their tractors. It's beautiful the public is supporting them. And the mainstream propagandists are calling them right wing extremists. Same plot. Calling people deplorable, fringe minority and maga.
where i live, my grandpa and family pretty much own this entire road of pure farmland except for one small horse pasture, what we've been doing is having us trade with other farmers for w/e we need. havent spent money in a long time on anything food related or farm related. we also have a massive creek that goes across the entire property and have built multiple water mills for electricity for the entire family. if we do need money for something, each part of the family has some type of trade theyre good at (me im great with fine metal work and carpentry) and we'll make stuff to sell inside these stores where everyone has a cubby to put their items or we'll sell surplus of food to restaurants in the area. a big bonus is sometimes a chef would ask me to make pans or knives for em i tend to ask for free patronage in return but yeah life is wonderful this way, and like you said im afraid it wont always be like this.. its too free.
