No, they got annoyed with how seriously the bellas are taking it and acting like hypocrites so they decided to annoy them into quitting, like they did. You are being subject to bias due to them being the protagonists. The whole reason they did this riff off is because they thought the others were threatened by them, when in fact they acted like they were threatened.
No much, almost the whole scene feels embarrasing for the Bellas, even when Anna is cut off and the fact that they basically broke the one rule as soon as possible show how light they're treating the whole situation, even then they're just vibing while the Bellas are like "screaming crying throwing up" internally
I got to admit I love A Capella riff offs but you can’t deny the musicians killed it with their instruments and made it sound awesome, though technically they were cut off because they basically broke every rule in the Riff off game. Can we just appreciate for a moment how gorgeous the country music version of wake me up sounded. His vocals are great. But personally I still find A Capella more impressive because it’s more difficult than people think. Xx
