  • In this tutorial, the herringbone crochet stitch is created back and forth in rows. The unique component is how the wrong side of the stitch is crocheted using a reverse stitch.
    Of course, it is possible to crochet the herringbone stitch in the round, and the stitch pattern appears rotated from what you see in the basket images.
    With a fantastic knit mimic and beautiful texture, this stitch can create a variety of items from home decor to garments.

    Thank you for this super clear tutorial! I've never been able to crochet "backwards" before but you demonstrated it so well, I found it easy

    The working in reverse may take some getting use. But thank goodness! Someone who zooms in, stays in frame and is not using the same color material as the background! Great tutorial.

    Ughh thank you!!! Why didn't I find Your tutorial first?? Let me just tell you there are some BAD tutorials out there for this stitch, so bad I nearly gave up on it. So thank you again for this clear and concise tutorial. 🥰

    When working on the backside, I think what you are using are yarnUNDERS, not yarnOVERS. Bit easier to work the stitch with the yarnunders! Certainly produces a really nicely textured stitch-thank you for this very clear and helpful tutorial

    If you could just hand over that ring, that'd be great.

    So, question...if I wanted to make a beanie with this stitch pattern obviously I would want to work that in the round as seamlessly as possible. how would I carry that up to the next row rather than turning? Also how would I change colors between rows?

    Lovely! I want to use it for my sweater. How can I increase and decrease with this when I want the neck on vertical position of the stitch?

    I am making a round basket I go spiral so there is no right and wrong sides. I am always on the right side ... is there a catch when I reach the end of the row ??

    • @BrianaK
      @BrianaK  Před 2 lety +1

      For this stitch, it needs to be worked in rows, you could turn at the end of each round.
