King Sailfish Mounts Factory Tour | How They Make Fish Mounts

In this video, I will show you how they make fish mounts at King sell fish mounts in Fort Lauderdale Florida. These mounts are handmade, and the original mold came from an actual fish. They are hand painted. They will custom paint them to the photo of your actual fish. I’ll take you through the fiberglass molding process, eyes, and fins, filling the body, priming, painting and clear coat. They offer a exterior clear code for an extra fee if you plan on displaying the mount outdoors.

Thanks for the video. This takes me back to my childhood. My Grandfather had a Striker and we went out almost every weekend. I remember many a visit to J.T. Reese Taxidermy in FLL, mounting everything from Sails to Dolphins. Take care.

As a retired boat and yacht builder , I can appreciate the quality and craftsmanship that go into your creations , do you also make half mounts on tarpon , I need a reminder on the one that got away😄👍🏼
