Italy can solo all of North Africa any day.
It's sad how so much people act like we are still in 1939.
Italy is richer than most of Africa combined.
Italy has the best navy in Europe, 7th best in the world, no african country is passing the Mediterranean.
North Africa's coast would constantly get bombarded by the italian airforce which is the 13th best in the world (Italy also has 2 aircraft carriers, Africa as a whole has a whopping 0.)
Italy would get its industry going (2nd best in Europe after Germoney), produce more weapons while the North African countries waste their time getting their navies destroyed.
Italy would recruit more people, break into Tunisia and start invading from there. North Africa would be done for in an year or so, the only problem being Egypt.

North Africa has no industry and no money.
And there is no way the North Africans are reaching mainland Italy.
They just don't have the equipment for that. They don't have the ships and the planes to overpower the italian airforce and navy.
The only strong one is Egypt, and even then, it's still not that impressive when compared to Italy.
Italy still has 60 million inhabitants, it has the manpower needed to carry out this war, and it has all the equipment and industry needed.
