Don't misguide people with the package, consider it as an intern only even in the nit Delhi internship scenario is the same after internship they may or may not give you the ppo.
As I have seen the internship recruitment process is very easy the companies like Intel and amd don't even take the test they allow you to directly appear for interview and even the students having minimum or very less knowledge got selected on the basis of no of students remaining.

I am talking about that premiere institute only. Just have a look at numbers of Batch 21-23 . I am from second year MTECH VLSI at NIT KKR.
It doesn't matter once you join the company , everyone works hard for ppo
