The Teskey Brothers come from the country outskirts of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. They are two brothers and two others plus a fluid back-up on instruments and vocals. This was the finale of the concert at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne, so they're with their home crowd. The guys have been playing at various venues since being young and come from a musical-artsy family and community. I have their wonderful CDs. They perform in concerts in Australia and around the world. There are a good number of their videos on You Tube.

The two mics are live 1 and 2 recording to tape out the back for the live vinyl album live at the forum, Sam is a sound engineer too so nice to see someone who knows the business reacting to this, incidentally I went with Sam to pick up the strat from a guy who had it in a case for years , so it was immaculate then but a bit lonely, he told Sam not to wear a belt when playing it as it might scratch the back Sam was about 14 at the time, and wore baggy pants belt with chains as was the fashion then the guy didn’t want to bring it out to meet us half way because it was a hot summers day and he said I don’t normally take it out if it’s over 30c, I often wonder if he knows where it is now, we’ll loved, well used, and not at all lonely. 🤔😂

Great story to finding the guitar 👍🏻 I’m sure all your instruments have stories attached to them as well.

Fabulous reaction my friend. A must to review is 'Rain' sung just with a mic and the awesome Josh Teskey... He brings Otis and I feel a little bit of Joe Cocker in his mannerisms .... Another fav is his live performance with Jimmy Barns and Josh singing 'Do You Love Me'

Yup, I'll third that recommendation. Definitely he should look at Josh and Jimmy Barnes doing 'Do You Love Me'.

Another awesome reaction. You'll want to see them do Rain (Colors version) for Josh's voice alone. Their vibe is mostly old school soul and so cool. Real musicians. Also try Pain and Misery, etc. There plenty. Josh and Sam are brothers

Please react to “Paint my Heart” by The Teskey Brothers. The production level along with the musicianship is INSANE.

I think you would appreciate my favorite from them "Pain and Misery' - but if you do the official video you will see where they recorded and the old school tape they used to give that very authentic sound - amazing - never get tired of this song.

They are recording an album. Analog, old school. Thats the reason for the extra mikes.😊

Also worth a listen is Josh Teskey and Ash Grunwald's collab, 'Push the Blues Away'. Ash is an amazing Blues artist. Some of the songs are Hungry Heart, You Ain't My Problem Anymore, and Thinkin' 'Bout Myself.
