Andrew pretending to sleep once he hears Ashley going menhera on the phone in the living room, then asking her what was up with all the noise earlier so she can say that she was yelling at the TV or something and he can pretend to believe her. Just an average Graves siblings moment. 💀
I used to think Asley's obsession was purely for power and control over Andrew; possession because she cant have him leave her. After that last voicemail though... yeah, shes down bad in the worst possible way. You don't compare his supposed familial love for you (his sister) to his romantic love for her (his girlfriend). Those should never be compared, as they arent supposed to be the same. She seems fixated on it, and that first line (just because you can fuck him and I cant) is very much NOT what someone who has pure thoughts about a family member would say.
These two are pure poison to one another.

She's not down bad for Andrew tho. She just have an extremely fucked up view of relationship. Hell, she thinks her parents' neighbors are whores just because the neighbors are somewhat friendly towards their parents. Also, in the questionable ending, after "that" scene, you can choose 2 choices, "never" or "never say never". If you choose never, it will be mentioned that she does not see Andrew that way, but she'll do it if it means that he'll stick around
@NguyenPham-bv7my fair. She does have a very high opinion of him, though, despite acting as she does. In her dream before that "scene", the green rabbit that represents Andrew is described as "the best best best best thing EVER". She might not thirst for him, but also has zero qualms about doing that if it means he's by her side. To be honest, I think that's even worse.

@@NguyenPham-bv7my Thing about the phone line is, that it also shows she doesn't see sex a sign of love. So her only doing him to keep him around, in the 'Never.' ending, doesn't mean she isn't down bad for him. It means she still looks down on that physical act.
And in the 'Never say never.', she's disappointed over his freak out and what she sees as him not wanting it. It's a dawning realization, that it's a possible show of love.

See this is what i like about this game, So many people are so focused on the damn 1nc3st when, This is exactly what this game is meant to show, This screwed up mentality and relationship with Ashley and Andrew, Showing how Ashley desires and wants control, her perspective on everything is so different, While andrew is practically a puppet to Ashley, Slowly losing his sanity just as Ashley is, Except He is seeming to get worse near by the end of the game.
This game isnt just some weird 1nc3st joke or some edgy stuff.
This is a pure dark psychology horror game, Where even the drawings in cutscenes show details.
I'm so happy someone finally understands what this sick and twisted game is really supposed to show

Ironically, Andrew is a puppet because he allows it. He needs Ashley to be the evil manipulator so he can blame her for HIS actions. She's his way to not feel responsible for the bad things he had done.
When Andrew loses patience he's quick to use violence against Ashley. He also casually hits Ashley in her insecurities, so he's surprisingly manipulative himself.

The thing that's kinda fucked up here is, Ashley wasn't wrong. Julia didn't mean anything to Andrew, he never really cared about her. It's why he didn't try to convince her to stay with him when she broke up, and why he got over their breakup so quickly. It's why he's not bothered by the fact that he'll never see her again, and why didn't seem all that happy when he was with her. It's why he always prioritized Ashley over her, and it's why he made no real effort to stop Ashley from harrassing her, even when it made her suicidal. At best, he was with Julia out of some fucked up sense of guilt for his part in Nina's death. Not to try and make her happy, but to try and absolve himself of what he did. At worst, he just wanted an intimate relationship with someone who looked like Ashley, and used her to that end. Because he never wanted Julia, he wanted Ashley.
This is why I think Andrew's actually the worst one out of the two. Because, whether by nature or nurture or both, Ashley's a sociopath. She has no real concept of right and wrong or the ability to feel empathy. But Andrew knows that the shit he does is immoral, he just does it anyways. Either because he's too much of a coward to accept responsibility and face the consequences for his actions, or because he's just too pussywhipped by his own fucking sister. Either way, Andrew will do anything as long as he can convince himself it isn't his fault, or that he didn't have a choice.

As fkd up as the story is, it’s been a while since I’ve been so into a story and it’s characters. The writing of this is just straight up 10/10.
