  • Hi guys,
I picked up this chassis off Amazon before X-mas because it was dirt cheap at 90 Canadian Pesos. It's a steal for that price but it's not perfect by any stretch. If you like wrenching and want to play with a cheap crawler chassis, I'd keep an eye out for sales on this one. To me, $150 is too much (without tires) and max is probably about $135 because there are just too many things that are better value in RTR crawlers that cost only slightly more overall. Take that for what you will.
Do you drive to wrench or do you wrench to drive?

Right now i think the best "cheap chinese" crawler slightly smaller than 1\10 is the mn128 1\12 which i bought for 93eur and is a super scale hard body. Above 250eur there are so much competition and so many good rcs that we tend to get picky and spoiled :)

The body on that thing looks pretty epic

@@drivetowrench2709 all reviews are positive, i hope i won't be disapointed. Always liked mn models details but peeformance and eletronics were always too basic for my taste. This new one mn128 has a totally different chassis ( similar to all other main brands) and a 390 high torque motor opposito to the 260 of other models. Also, esc already has 2 speeds and drag brake and low speed modulation is on pair with all main brands rtr.

I find it a decent starting point if you plan on a custom build where you replace nearly everything. No point buying an Axial builders kit just to not use most of it. I'm building my clone right now. Rock pirates rear shock towers, Treal front aluminum shock towers with pan hard mount, axial pan hard link (had to swap steering link and pan hard mount to passenger side), removed passenger side 4 link on the front, I got the Injora Mountain shocks but probably will switch to Desert Lizard shocks.

Are you recording with a gopro head mount? Stabilization is incredible if that is the case. Appreciate the video, these clones are always so appealing at first glance.

Nope, old Sony phone on an arm, mostly because the sound isn't horrific. My patience for making things look/sound awesome is minimal and that phone doesn't do too bad a job. Running vids are cheap cameras in head mount

If I had to buy this completel chassis from injora would their lcg chassis be compatible with it thanks man I'm a noob lol

Beware, there's a learning curve. It is compatible but you're going to need the shorty front drive shaft for sure, maybe the rear. You can get the exact same axles from Injora, the metal gear trans and the drive shafts for about $110(cdn). (If you end up building from parts, I would go with better axles if you can afford it, the trans isn't that bad when set up properly). I would go with their Mountain shocks. If you look at the add for the LCG chassis, the only things not shown are front and rear bumper mounts. Sadly its shot up in price after Xmas (at least on Amazon) and more than $150 is way too much. It's one of those things worth keeping an eye on for a good deal
