Chopin - Nocturne Op.9 No.2

Chopin Nocturne Op.9 No.2 in Eb major played by Ken Lui.
Nocturnes Op.9 are a set of three nocturnes written between 1830 to 1832 and are dedicated to pianist Marie Pleyel. Perhaps being the most famous Chopin piece, nocturne Op.9 No.2 was composed in binary form. Its structure can be analysed as AABABA+Coda, with variations and additional ornaments in each of the repetitions. The left hand figuration is consistent throughout the piece, except in the ending where the music suddenly becomes passionate and reaches a quasi cadanza. Eventually, the excitement recedes, leading the music to a calm ending.
