i found my DJ and photographer on the knot and they were so much fun, they were a married couple that did a combo together and it was so nice not having to keep track of multiple vendors haha they just coordinated everything together. but we planned our wedding like a year and a half out and got everything done early and it was so nice to just chill and not be stressed. so plan as far in advance as you can!

I’m in the wedding industry and im booked out 2 years pretty much so once you pick a venue message vendors right away to book them! and then once everyones booked you can just plan the fun stuff :) dress, decor etc
From someone who booked her wedding 13 months out, it is never too early to start planning. The brand trip with the knot was the best decision you two could make at this point. Two-ish years is a perfect length of time because you are giving yourselves time to really absorb everything, make sure you don't go too crazy with expenses, and (most important) it gives you both enough time to filter out all the advice you receive (including this!). You need time to figure out what you want, what you really care about, and you couldn't care less about.
