Thanks, I know what i need to do now. Have some speakers for my Road Glide that i have a feeling wont fit into the pod without this same technique being used. and I don't want to settle for quality. I want my Sundown 6.5's

That guy on Facebook can’t complain now. Lol you’re the man for that Carlos. Drop a Euphoria 8’XL video brother or a vs Beyma monster

Carlos, Thank you for the vid for us DIY-ers. Appreciated! I bought the DA MSPRO65's for my 16 RGS fairing. Using a dremel tool, and yeah, hot plastic everywhere! Will buy the Oscillating tool today for the second pod.

Honestly a speaker ring would be better and less the work

I keep seeing these yellow baskets in alot of videos and I see you use DB drives as well which is a better bang for your buck for coaxials and running 6x9's in your lids

Carlos, I did not give you all the info on my bike in my comment below. It is a 2017 Harley Ultra Limited FLHTK. Thanks.

So I just did this last night to fit a pair of ds18 pro zt6's in my 2020 road glide. And it seems the magnets stick out of the pods far enough to push the outter fairing out to the point I can't get it back on

How about using a 1/2” spacer ring?

Thanks for the video Carlos, very informative. Can you tell me if the speaker pods on my 2017 would need the same mod for the Ground Zero Yellow Basket 6.5 Coax speakers? And what about my Tour Pak pods?

Why deaden the whole pod? Is there any benifit to this?

As many times that you have made that modification, I am very surprised your cutout was that sloppy. I would think you would have a template to make a minimal exact cutout.

I’m looking for a good shop in Houston Tx for the same installation on my 2021 RGS with the chop guard . Any suggestions?

I would have made a mold and fiberglass it out to accept the speaker.....not a long term fix
