This the type of battle brings you back to bands 04 type you couldn't fully pick a winner due to both doing well. Song section from both were great and this is a classic battle between the two imo best fifth by far so far and that's sad being late in the season good job to both of these bands

Alcorn may be smaller, but their song selections are great and their sound is very clear and strong. If they were the size of SU or had SU brass size, the stadium may not be able to handle the vibration.
No shade nice comment, but bands don't play songs they play pieces that are arranged from song. People sing songs instrumentalists play pieces.

Loving where the SWAC is going. Grambling getting better every week. Keep that new director. Alcorn that victory lap 🔥🔥🔥. This is the cleanest I think I've ever heard Alcorn and they pushing watts. I give them the edge in this one due to song selection. Grambling wasn't no hoe by any means though

As a neutral person, I can say Alcorn won with a cleaner sound due mostly to balance and better arrangements. The main thing that stuck out was the trumpet section comparison. That being said, it was a good battle.

Grambling has impressed me this season. Alcorn has improved as well i sound. I'll give the battle to Alcorn, but Grambling was not far behind. Think Grambling will come with the fire and peak at Bayou.
They both sound pretty good not too loud so you can concentrate on the actual music Sometimes you can play to loud but this was nice overall I think Gambling a little better balanced so GSU for me

GSU sound good, but ASU SOD is putting out the Watts with great quality. The ASU music selection is groovy. and GGs are always energetic with finesse.
Alcorn gets the slight W. Grambling wasn’t no push over and they’re getting stronger 💪🏽 Alcorn came back after murking SU and sounded even better! Alcorn and Grambling is definitely top 3 with JSU about to be dethroned

Alcorn gets that w because they are smaller but cleaner, loud, and you could here them clearly. Them tubas was pushing too also their tone was balanced and the percussion had great posture. But Gram also did well just not as clear.

Alcorn got the W on this battle. The energy stayed high the whole time and the sound was clear and the arrangements were great, and the trumpets were killing it. SOD did not come to play in the stands.

Alcorn got that slight dub GSU first two songs were slapping though. That victory lap was okay it got better towards the end for me. Seemed like GSU was over blowing they should have easily had a bigger sound with out trying to hard with there numbers. GSU Overrated? Maybe, but it was still a good 5th.

As a gram alum I’m going to keep it real . The improvements made the last two years have been incredible . The sound is getting on the level . But they need better arrangements and song selection. Alcorn got the W . Great job both bands . Oh and Gram first song was 🔥. Who ever wrote that needs to write like that more often

Grambling just got str8 ate up by Alcorn, and GG's killed Gramblings' dance line. Not a competition on this 5th, and I know Grambling was tired of that a$$ whopping.
No way Alcorn won this battle! Their trumpet section is good, but overrides the other sections - unbalanced sound. Tubas are simply blasting, but no control. GSU sounds way more balanced across all sections, and full. GSU is bringing volume, control and balance, w/o blasting every note (Who can blast the loudest doesn't determine the W - Which many seem to believe.) GSU also playing more current songs throughout the battle. Alcorn pulling from old playbooks, more often. GSU with the W - Easily.
