ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

To answer your question on how some of us didn't pick it up, if I had to guess the figure was in such high demand that they straight up didn't bother shipping him to local stores. That's just a hunch, and maybe I'm the only one who had that problem but still, pains me to this day.
Haven't seen it in person but I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed the knuckles say "HEAD" in reverse, so the word would be imprinted the right way on anything he hit.
The Tommy Gun fron the Jazzwares Fortnite Galaxy figure works pretty well.
This body would be perfect for a Tombstone and a MCU Kingpin.

I looked at the Brass Knuckles long enough. I think it says “HEAD” backwards. So when he punches a dude, it leaves “HEAD” on them.
I grew up with this guy 🙏ty for my childhood
5:42 That figure sold out fast and in some parts of the country it didn't show up, also it was released during the height of the pandemic. A lot of people lost their jobs, money was tight, most of the country was on lock down and some people couldn't go toy hunting. So it's not just a matter of people sleeping on the retro spidey, some people just weren't able to get him. Hopefully, if the leaks are true about the Spider-Man 60th anniversary figures, this issue will be resolved.
In case the "GABA" comment is not a joke, the brass knuckles spell "HEAD" backwards so after he hits someone, "HEAD" will be spelled out where he hit them.

For me as to why I didnt pick up the spider man figure, I got back into collecting ML figures right as he came out. I figured since he’s such an iconic character and it being such a definitive figure that there would be unlimited amounts of him! Now ive learned…
I imagine most of us that want that Spider-Man got into collecting ML after the retro Spidey was already out (and bought up). Not really much of a mystery here, Shart.

Kinda regret that since his price shot up too, but I really hope they just keep rereleasing that spidey & hopefully do that green goblin with better eyes

I know that MARVEL LEGENDS collectors will happy with the new awesome Hammerhead while displaying him with the Retro Kingpin while some people missed out on the 2015 Chameleon with the J. Jonah Jameson and the Hammerhead head, Also there are some collectors that might want an updated Tombstone
I have that chameleon with all the faces and the hammerhead head in that figure looks off, this hammerhead really look f cool and have presence
Yeah I have the Chameleon one but I never liked how that head looked on it. I cannot wait to get not just this figure, but the whole wave, it looks so good!!!!

I recommend going on eBay and buying a custom 1/12 scale Tommy gun if you wanna really want an accurate Tommy gun that bad.

The retro spiderman was really difficult to find at my local retail stores. Such a high demand for that figure... even purchasing online was difficult just due to how many people were buying him. Also not everyone lives in the US and believe it or not it does make a huge difference when trying to buy figures online. Ive had a lot of difficult myself trying tk purchase figures from different websites. So to answer your question its not that a lot of us didn't want him when he came out its the fact that we literally couldn't buy one for retail value when he was out.
Such a shame that not everyone can get a hold of this figure. I was fortunate enough to get my pre-orders in when they went live. Hasbro knows that he'll sell like hot cakes but didn't manufacture enough. There's a few Marvel Legends that I miss as well that are hard to find at retail, such as Jim Lee Cyclops and Beast.

Online being a keyword here. We don't have any big deparmentsores like Wallmart or Target, but I think it might be specific to my country (The Netherlands) because I visit Germany quite often and they do seem to have stores like that everywhere in the big cities.

My dad gave me an old stack of comics from when he was a kid and one of the issues I remember most was a Spider-Man comic where he thought the ghost of this dude.
Finally you got the figure I pre ordered it. I also have a question do you get double figures.
With the 60th anniversary of Spider-Man I imagine we are going to get him again. Maybe in they Toy-Biz packaging that Cap, Hulk, and Iron Man are going to come in

In the philippines all the stores are secondary and have mostly aftermarket prices so the retro spiderman as soon as it was out was $40-50, but I got lucky and found one store that had it for $30.
I saw that identical figure just a couple of days ago for the first time ever, it was also right next to the shocker from the same wave

Hammer: I get the suit design but I would have been up for a torso with more articulation that sacrificed the seamless look.
Retro Spider-man - He was basically a Pandemic figure. So it was difficult to find him in stores and you know it got sold out online pretty quickly. Though I think it's mostly people who got into the line after this figures had long since been out. Then NWH is announced and happens. But probably by the end of the years there's going to be so much Spider-man you could make some kind of SpiderVerse.
Why did I not get the retro Spidey. Never saw at retail and at time I was on the fence if still wanted to collect legends.i just dug the pizza Spidey at the time too. Back in now
I did notice Hammerhead was half pinless with the legs at least but been cooler if was full pinless

I bought a P08 Lugar meant for 6 inch action figures after I bought Hammerhead. He just seemed like he was missing something. It works pretty well!
👍 The head sculpt is definitely better than the old one that came with the Chameleon. And I'm sure that if you look on ebay you might find a 1:12 scale tommy gun, but be prepared to pay at least $10 for it.

But for me, I would like to see HASBRO do an updated Frank Miller red suit Daredevil with an alternative Matt Murdock head that came from the armored Daredevil along with a classic Punisher and then I might get Jigsaw at some point
For real that Spiderman was available for at least 3 months. Unless you were in jail or a coma you got no excuses.
To be fair the Retro wave 1 came out at the "end of the lockdown 1" so a lot of people didn't have the means to purchase it, also Spidey was the one figure that sold out almost instantly.
Idk man I still just can’t stand the Retro Spidey. I hate what the diaphragm does to the costume and really wish it had a waist twist to avoid that. The limited knees and neck are huge letdowns too. And this is really nitpicky but I’m clearly not alone in the thought, but why doesn’t he have toe joints??😂 idk man. I’ve always preferred a lankier Spidey anyway, so I’ll stick to my Pizza Spidey all day. Although getting a classic Spidey on the Sunfire Nick has been on my mind since I saw that Cyborg Spidey and the inverted one

@@adams6473 it was an exclusive figure, wasn’t a netflix one, it was more of a comic accurate figure, came with an additional head, big rifle and a middle launcher I believe, and of course a white tommy gun.

Fortnite legendary series figures from jazwear have a great 1/2 scale Tommy gun look them up you can't miss them
Dude just because we were not able to buy the Spider-Man figure does not mean we are not “as big” Spider-Man fans some of use don’t have the ability to buy figure right away like you do and it was really hard to find since it sold out so quickly that’s been a problem with a lot of marvel legends so maybe hasbro should do a better job of stocking them
