What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Rhino Rack Vortex kit that goes on your factory rails on your camper shell. So this is how you're gonna put roof bars up on your camper shell and then haul stuff on top of it and on the inside of the truck bed. Let's check it out. What you're gonna get is you're gonna get the bars themselves. So they're gonna be 59 inches.
These are the Rhino Rack Vortex Arrow bars. You're gonna get the foot kit that goes with it and then the base that actually slides into the rails on your camper shell. Now, if you don't have the rails on your camper shell yet and you're looking into that, as well, they do sell a kit where you get the rails and the bars and the feet and the base all together. We have a video on our site that shows the installation process of the rails. You are gonna have to drill into your camper shell, so you're gonna wanna be careful.
It's not too bad, though. You can check out that video and see how that works. Looking at the bars, they have a weight capacity of 220 pounds. Just keep in mind when you're loading stuff up, you don't exceed that. Also look at the camper shell, as well.
Whatever's lower, you wanna go with that so you don't overload anything that you load on there. With the weight capacity in mind, you can throw all kinds of accessories on there. You can throw kayak carries on here, another rooftop box if you need more storage, a cargo carrier, all those, even a bike if you want to. Now, you can go two different ways of doing that. You can use accessories that clamp around.
There's plenty of space with the camper and the bars which that will vary on your vehicle or on your truck or camper. But you can see there's plenty of space here. If there are hand knobs to turn, you can still do that. Now, you can also use the track here. Just peel back this rubber, take off the locking end cap, gonna show you, if you have T track accessories. Use the blue key you got with your kit and turn and unlock the end cap so you can just slide it off. Then peel back the rubber and slide in your T tracks into position. Now, if you have the same accessories you're gonna use all the time, you can cut these so they're ready to go when you slide it in there. Today we just cut 'em to length with the bars because it's gonna cut down on that wind noise and drag when you're driving. We're gonna have the foot pack with our cover here. They do lock, so I'm just gonna unlock it, remove the cover, and this is how it's gonna operate. So you don't need any tools once you get up here. You're just gonna push these two red tabs together. That's gonna pull in the sides and you can remove it from this base. This is gonna stay here. You can even put a cap on it to cover it up when you're not in use so it looks nice and factory all the time. But I like how easy it is to install these or take 'em off. So you push them into the middle, the red in the center, that way you see there's no cylinders on the side. Drop them into the base, pull back. Now, they might not slide all the way into place. You just push down. Now it's locked. The bars are made outta aluminum and have a black powder coat finish on there, so they're very lightweight, so really easy to lift up here and set into place on the camper shell, which is good. And it's not too bad to put everything together and get up here. Check out how we did it. Everything on the table. Now let's look at how to install the foot. We've got one over here already installed. We've got the hardware right here and here's the foot. So they say to slide this block into the channels on the bar first. I find this method's a little bit easier. You just line up with that hole at the bottom. We're gonna go washer and lock washer on our bolt. Drop that down into the hole on our foot. With that lined up, we can thread in our square nut block here just a little bit by hand, and then you can slide it in the track over on this side. Lines up at the grooves. Now leave it loose 'cause we're gonna go up on the roof and make sure we get to the side to side measure correctly. Before we go to the roof, though, you can install these strips to help you with measurements. They're gonna go along the bottom. But since it's demonstration purposes today, we're not gonna set those in there or cut them. But we will do the rubber strip on top. So you see I've already put a couple of them in. Now, those are inside the bars when you unpackage everything, just in case you don't think you have 'em in the box. And you can just work those in from

What is the static weight rating on this rack, assuming 220lbs is dynamic?
